Aaaaaaaaahhhhh, EEEEEEEEEEEEEeEeEeEe - Tree Hugger, 2015

Well, maybe, but I didn't like the clunky second person switch. At least change the you to I

First off, I'll make the standard 'this interests me' statement. I don't think I've ever seen a story where they choose to make ponies human en mass. I've seen the odd pony become a human, most often the potential love interest, but never to seed humanity as a species. On that note, I'm surprised they didn't go for a trial period with a temporary transformation spell. Equally surprised there is a foal in the first group.

On other notes, I meh at it being Anon and second person, but I'm not sinking it because of that. Premise and idea remains interesting. Still, does this make Anon the noble of the new human tribe? And what's this with the myths of humans being powerful monsters? Related to the magic resistance?

Also:

Not only that, but he had enough blood in him to kill the average pony

Should be alcohol in him.

7159725 It's not clop because the story is mainly a comedy about ponies trying to live in human bodies. So the mature part comes in with the ponies attempting to deal with certain anatomical issues, anywhere from nudity to certain body parts that are on horses/ponies but not on humans.

WHAT I THOUGHT IT WOULD JUST BE THE PRINCESSES!

7160483 when you notice that reality is about to hit your face.....hard

See, this is why we use a temporary spell to start off with. And... when did we go from 'the volunteers will retain their magic' to 'we aren't sure if they can still cast'? Because Luna kinda has that thing with the moon... and the dreams... Tad important. Just a tad.

Anywho~ Human magic is magic resistance and... walking? Not all that clear on the last bit with them walking using tribe magic.

7168846 hmm.... i more speculate that the imbalance of energies of two entirely disparate species was, for lack of a better term, confused. So with both energies conflicting it made it nearly impossible for them to co-ordinate themselves. But when they used the magic they had, it forced the two energies to align, allowing them to walk. As for the magic going haywire, it's much the same thing, the two energies were in flux and nothing worked on them.

Hey, it may be farfetched, but if anyone/pony has a better explanation, i haven't heard it yet. :ajbemused:

I can understand the wonky balance but he'll help them with that right RIGHT

Seems like Celestia is going back and forth on what the spell did to their magic. One hand saying it transformed the magic, earlier saying the magic would remain the same, then saying the magic turned to human magic of magic resistance, then saying their magic will restore because pony restores quickly... It's really hard keeping what the transformation did and how it worked straight.

The Embassy (I'm calling it Embassy because Sanctuary sounds a little demeaning) seems pretty cool though.

“Then it’s settled. From now on, we will call ourselves: pomen!”

Not much more different than Roman. It's a keeper.

I think a better one would be Roaman. After the word Roan, which as is used to describe certain color of horse coats, such as: sorrel, chestnut, or bay, sprinkled with gray or white. Honestly though, I think it just sounds better, Roaman, and could be taken as Roman. After all, and I checked Roan is pronounced R-O-n, the big "O" sound. So overall, i say go with this...sounds better to me anyway, and it's a bit out of the ordinary, but enough to fit in the the horse puns of Equestria.

7228353 yeah, it's not terrible. I sure as heck can't come up with anything better.

Sir, you have officially Piqued my interest, take a like, track and follow.

The hand slides down, and you simply grin and bare it.

unless that's a intentional pun, that's "grin and bear it", but close.

Lyra raises a hoof. “Whoa, hold on. So, what your saying is that humans ALWAYS wear clothing?”

You nod. “Pretty much. There are, of course, occasional exceptions to that, but for the most part, you hit the nail right on the head.”

Bonbon gives you an odd look, a strange mix of confusion and awe. “But, why? What is the point of wearing clothing all of the time?”

You rub the back of your neck. “Well, I know a bit about why humans wear clothing, but why don’t you tell me why ponies wear clothing?”

The humans turn to look at each other, looking uncertain, before Study looks to you.

“Well, its speculated that ponies started making clothing soon after they gained sentience, mostly to combat the bitter cold winters they had to endure. Soon after, some ponies began to wear extravagant clothing to show their social status. And, really… it hasn’t changed much from then.”

You nod. “Well, that pretty much explains why humans started to wear and make clothing. The only thing is, the whole ‘just wearing clothing for showing off’ thing, kind of caught on. Not only that, but it became so common and accepted that it became taboo to be caught naked, and later became illegal to be seen nude in public.”

The ponies turned humans looked appalled. Shield grimaced. “But, why? And how in Equestria did it become law?”

“Well one thing that pushed it forward was that usually the only time in which humans are naked together are during more, uh, sensual moments. So when humans were seen naked, it became attributed to more sexual thought.”

and also there's that human hair isn't nearly as long or thick as that of ponies so having clothes kind of compensates for that. :ajbemused:

But, of course, it is not my design to judge, that would be the designers job.”

well, technically correct, but a better way of wording that might be "the design isn't mine to judge".

Implications that humans would have magic too, but he's not exercising it...

Moving forward to a grand new culture!
Keep going! ;)

Oh boy, second person, schizomagic, nudity jokes, superiority complex.

Guess I shouldn't have been surprised, from story that got put into "Humans into Ponies." :ajbemused:
