Chapter 14: Something New

Blitz chuckled nervously as he looked at the enthusiastic Scootaloo. The unexpected request took him by surprise, but he couldn't ignore the excitement in the young filly's eyes. Lyra continued to watch, curious about how Blitz would respond.

"Well, uh, Scootaloo, flying isn't something you can just teach overnight. It requires a lot of practice and patience," Blitz explained, scratching the back of his head. "But, uh, I guess I can show you a few things if you promise to be careful."

Scootaloo's eyes widened with joy, and she nodded vigorously. "I promise, Blitz! I'll be the best student ever!"

Blitz chuckled again, finding Scootaloo's enthusiasm infectious. Lyra smirked at him, teasing, "Looks like you've got yourself a little apprentice."

Blitz rolled his eyes playfully. "Yeah, yeah, don't remind me."

As they chatted, Blitz couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. The tension from Rainbow Dash's presence seemed to fade away, at least for the moment. Scootaloo's request provided a welcome distraction, and he decided that helping her learn to fly could be a positive way to spend his time.

The trio spent the rest of the afternoon in the park, with Blitz demonstrating some basic flying techniques. Scootaloo listened attentively, absorbing every piece of advice. Lyra occasionally chimed in with comments and encouragement.

Meanwhile, in the distance, Rainbow Dash continued her conversation with Star Struck. Unbeknownst to her, the electrical display from Blitz's speed had caught the attention of a certain group of fillies known for their love of the extraordinary.

Twilight Sparkle and her friends had observed the spectacle from a distance. Twilight raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the unusual display of magical energy. "That's odd. I've never seen anything like that before," she mused.

Pinkie Pie bounced with excitement. "Ooh, new magic tricks! Maybe we should go ask that colt how he did it!"

Rarity chimed in, "Darlings, I must say, the aesthetics of that display were quite captivating. Perhaps there's more to this stallion than meets the eye."

As the group debated whether to approach Blitz, he continued to share his flying expertise with Scootaloo, feeling a renewed sense of purpose in helping the young filly achieve her dreams. The day, which had started with tension and uncertainty, took an unexpected turn into a more positive direction. Little did they know that this encounter would set in motion a series of events that would change their lives in ways they couldn't predict.

As Blitz continued to guide Scootaloo through the basics of flying, the atmosphere in the park shifted. Unbeknownst to him, Rainbow Dash had wrapped up her conversation with Star Struck and caught sight of Blitz providing flying lessons to the aspiring little pegasus.

Rainbow Dash's eyes narrowed, her feathers ruffling with a mix of confusion and irritation. Without a second thought, she left Star Struck standing there, bewildered, as she shot through the sky with a burst of speed. The wind roared around her as she closed the distance between herself and Blitz.

Blitz sensed Rainbow Dash's approach, and when he turned to see her charging towards him with a furious expression, a knot formed in his stomach. He had hoped to avoid any more confrontations, especially with Rainbow Dash, but it seemed fate had other plans.

"Blitz! What do you think you're doing?" Rainbow Dash bellowed as she touched down, creating a small dust cloud.

Scootaloo looked between Rainbow Dash and Blitz, a hint of fear in her eyes. Blitz took a deep breath, trying to remain calm, and decided to stay silent, enduring the storm of accusations.

Rainbow Dash's eyes flickered with a mix of anger and disbelief. "Helping Scootaloo? You've got some nerve, pal."

Blitz stood his ground, keeping quiet, his patience waning. The only sounds were Scootaloo's nervous shuffling and Lyra's concerned gaze as the tension in the air became palpable. Nearby ponies had started to gather, curious about the commotion.

Rainbow Dash huffed, her wings flaring. "The harm? The harm is that you're a liar and a deserter! You think you can just waltz back into Ponyville, mess with ponies' heads, and now you're acting like some kind of hero? I don't buy it for a second."

Blitz gritted his teeth, keeping his silence and accepting the weight of Rainbow Dash's accusations. Scootaloo shifted uncomfortably, unsure of what to do, while Lyra maintained her supportive stance.

Before Blitz could respond, Rainbow Dash continued, her voice sharp and accusatory. "You're just trying to weasel your way into everypony's good graces. Well, it's not going to work. I won't let you mess with Scootaloo's head too."

Blitz's eyes flashed with frustration, but he chose to remain quiet, taking every insult thrown at him. He took a step forward, but still, no words escaped his lips. Scootaloo looked at him with a mix of concern and admiration. The standoff between Blitz and Rainbow Dash intensified, each pony standing their ground. The gathered crowd looked on with a mix of curiosity and concern, uncertain of how this confrontation would unfold.

As the tension between Blitz and Rainbow Dash continued, Lyra couldn't stand idly by. Seeing her friend take the brunt of Rainbow's anger, she stepped forward, her frustration evident in her expression.

"Rainbow Dash, hold on a minute. I get that you're upset, but there's no need to lash out like this. Scootaloo asked Blitz for help, and he's not doing anything wrong," Lyra asserted, her tone firm but measured.

Rainbow Dash scoffed, looking at Lyra with a dismissive grin. "Oh, please. You're just another one of his apologists. I bet you believe every word that comes out of his mouth."

Lyra's frustration grew, but she kept her composure. "Rainbow, he's not here to cause trouble. Scootaloo asked for flying lessons, and Blitz is just trying to help. Maybe if you gave him a chance to explain—"

Rainbow Dash cut her off with a mocking laugh. "Explain? I've heard enough from him. He's good with words, I'll give him that, but actions speak louder, and his actions speak betrayal."

Lyra took a deep breath, attempting to remain calm. "Look, Rainbow, I know you and Blitz have a history, but maybe it's time to let go of the past and—"

Rainbow Dash interrupted again, her tone sharp and biting. "Let go of the past? You don't know the half of it, Lyra. You don't know what he's done."

Lyra's frustration finally boiled over, and her eyes flashed with irritation. "And maybe you don't know everything either! Just because he made mistakes doesn't mean he deserves this constant hostility. You're not the only one who's been hurt."

Rainbow Dash laughed, a harsh sound that echoed through the park. "Hurt? You think I'm hurt? Please, Lyra, you're just a pawn in his little game. He's probably feeding you lies just like he did with the rest of us."

Scootaloo, caught in the middle of the verbal crossfire, looked back and forth between Rainbow Dash and Lyra, confusion evident in her eyes. The atmosphere became charged with tension as Rainbow Dash squared off with Lyra, each unwilling to back down.

The gathered crowd watched, unsure of what to make of the escalating confrontation. The situation seemed to be spiraling out of control, with no resolution in sight. As the exchange continued, Scootaloo couldn't help but feel torn between her admiration for Blitz and her loyalty to Rainbow Dash. Little did she know that this conflict would force her to confront deeper questions about trust, forgiveness, and the complexities of friendship in Ponyville.

Feeling the weight of the escalating confrontation, Blitz decided he had heard enough. Without a word, he turned away from Rainbow Dash and Lyra, the murmurs of the onlookers fading as he walked away. He needed time alone to collect his thoughts, away from the accusations and hostility.

Lyra, realizing the toll this was taking on Blitz, called out after him, "Blitz, wait! Come back, let's talk this through!"

Before Blitz could respond, Rainbow Dash interjected with a derisive laugh, "Talk? That's all he's good at—talking his way out of everything, especially leaving!"

Blitz clenched his jaw, but he continued walking, resisting the urge to engage in the verbal sparring. He needed space to think, to clear his mind.

As Blitz distanced himself from the gathering, Lyra shot Rainbow Dash a frustrated look. "Rainbow, can't you see you're pushing him away? This isn't helping anyone."

Rainbow Dash smirked, crossing her forelegs. "Helping? He's the one who left, Lyra. If he can't handle a little confrontation, then good riddance."

At that moment, Scootaloo, who had been silently observing, stepped forward, her confusion turning into determination. "Why are you so rude to Blitz, Rainbow? He's trying to help me, and you're just making things worse."

Rainbow Dash's expression softened as she looked at Scootaloo. "Kid, trust me, there's nothing good about that stallion. He's just trouble."

Scootaloo furrowed her brow, her loyalty to Rainbow warring with her growing admiration for Blitz. "But you adopted me, Rainbow. Shouldn't we give ponies a chance to change?"

Rainbow Dash sighed, her gaze shifting away for a moment before meeting Scootaloo's eyes again. "Scoots, some ponies never change. They're just good at pretending."

Before the conversation could continue, a resounding strike echoed through the air as Lyra, unable to contain her frustration any longer, magically slammed her hoof into the ground, creating a shockwave that silenced the entire park. The force of the strike sent ripples through the air, and every pony present turned their attention to Lyra, her eyes blazing with a mix of anger and exasperation.

"That's enough!" Lyra declared, addressing both Rainbow Dash and the onlookers. "This bickering won't solve anything. We need to find a way to move forward, not keep rehashing the past."

The park fell into an uneasy silence as the ponies absorbed Lyra's words. It was clear that emotions were running high, and the unresolved tensions in Ponyville were far from settled. The fate of Blitz's attempt at redemption and the harmony within the group hung in the balance, leaving every pony present contemplating the complexities of forgiveness and the challenges of rebuilding trust.

Seeking solace, Blitz found himself at Sugarcube Corner, the familiar and lively bakery offering a temporary escape from the tension outside. As he took a seat by the window, he silently watched the joyful ponies passing by, the stark contrast to the recent confrontations weighing heavily on his mind.

With a sigh, Blitz slumped in his chair, contemplating the complexities of redemption and forgiveness. The day had taken an unexpected turn, and he yearned for it to be over.

Lyra, noticing Blitz at the window, approached with a reassuring smile. "Hey, Blitz. Mind if I join you?" she asked, pulling out a chair.

Blitz nodded, a faint smile playing on his lips. Lyra took a seat across from him, providing a welcome distraction from the troubles outside.

As they engaged in quiet conversation, the door to Sugarcube Corner chimed once more. Lyra, aware of the lingering tensions, decided to address them with Blitz. "I know it's tough, Blitz. Rainbow Dash can be... difficult. But you're trying to make amends, and not everypony is as resistant as her. Give it time."

Blitz appreciated Lyra's attempt to comfort him. "I just wanted to help Scootaloo. I never expected it to turn into all this."

Lyra nodded understandingly. "Change is hard, Blitz. It's okay to feel frustrated, but don't let Rainbow Dash get to you. You're on a path of redemption, and that's what matters."

As they continued their conversation, the atmosphere inside Sugarcube Corner shifted. The bakery provided a sanctuary for Blitz, and in Lyra, he found a friend willing to offer support amidst the challenges that lay ahead. The events of the day marked the beginning of a journey that would test friendships and challenge perceptions in the small town of Ponyville.

Blitz, his gaze fixed on the passing ponies outside Sugarcube Corner, opened up to Lyra about the past. "It's my fault, Lyra. When I left Ponyville, I couldn't handle it anymore. I saw Rainbow Dash kissing Applejack, and, well, I was just a young colt in love. It broke my heart."

Lyra listened empathetically, understanding the weight of unrequited feelings and the pain that comes with a broken heart. "Love can be complicated, Blitz. But you're here now, trying to make amends. We all have our pasts, and sometimes, it takes time to heal."

Blitz nodded, grateful for Lyra's understanding. The memories of his departure were still fresh, and confronting them brought a mix of emotions. As they continued their conversation, the bond of friendship between Blitz and Lyra grew stronger, providing a source of support amidst the challenges unfolding in Ponyville.

As Blitz poured out his feelings, Lyra, sensing the depth of his emotions, placed her hooves gently on top of his. Their eyes met, and Blitz felt a spark in his heart as he looked into Lyra's warm, comforting gaze.

Lyra offered him a reassuring smile, her eyes reflecting understanding and compassion. "Blitz, you're not alone. We all carry our burdens, and forgiveness takes time. You're taking the right steps, and you've got friends who care about you."

Blitz felt a sense of gratitude welling up inside him as Lyra's words resonated. The warmth of her support was like a balm for his wounded soul. In that moment, surrounded by the cozy atmosphere of Sugarcube Corner, Blitz found solace in the understanding friendship that was slowly blooming between him and Lyra. The journey of redemption might be challenging, but with friends like Lyra by his side, he felt a renewed sense of hope.

As Lyra offered her comforting words and support, Blitz found himself unable to look away from her. His heartbeat echoed in the room, and a peculiar warmth spread through him. Confused by these unfamiliar feelings, Blitz couldn't deny that he didn't hate them; in fact, he liked them.

Lyra's presence seemed to stir something within him, and as he looked into her eyes, a sense of connection blossomed. The idea of a new relationship, one that transcended the past, flickered in his thoughts. Perhaps amidst the challenges and complexities of forgiveness, a door was opening to something beautiful and unexpected—a chance at happiness and understanding with Lyra by his side.

As Lyra left, Pinkie Pie, who had been quietly observing the entire exchange, couldn't contain her mischievous grin. She bounced over to Blitz with playful excitement, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

"Ooh, Blitz, Blitz, Blitz! Looks like somepony's got a little crush on Lyra!" Pinkie teased, her tone sing-song and filled with glee.

Blitz's eyes widened, and he quickly tried to downplay the situation. "What? No way! It's not like that," he protested, attempting to cover up the hint of a blush on his face.

Pinkie wasn't convinced and continued to giggle. "Blitz, you can't fool the master of parties and romance! I know a crush when I see it!"

Blitz sighed, realizing that Pinkie could see through his attempt at denial. "Okay, fine, maybe I like her a bit," he reluctantly admitted, still avoiding the term "love."

Pinkie's eyes gleamed with joy. "Yay! Crushes are so cute! You should totally spend more time with her. I can help make it super-duper fun!"

Blitz chuckled nervously, not quite ready to admit the depth of his feelings. "Maybe, Pinkie. We'll see how things go."

Pinkie gave him a knowing smile. "Just remember, whether it's like-like or love, it's always worth celebrating! Have fun, Blitz!" With that, she bounced away, leaving Blitz with a mix of emotions and a playful nudge toward the possibility of something more with Lyra.

Blitz couldn't help but smile as he glanced out the window, catching a glimpse of the beautiful mare, Lyra, who had come to comfort him. There was something about her presence that brought a sense of warmth to his heart.

Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie, with her usual unpredictable antics, was looking at a seemingly random location. With an impish grin, she managed to break the fourth wall, addressing an unseen audience. "What, you thought the writer was done with this story? I don’t think so, Fimfiction community!"

Blitz, a little confused, turned to Pinkie. "Who are you talking to?"

Pinkie winked, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, just some friends on the other side of the screen. Don't worry about it! Anyway, back to your story! Love is in the air, and we're not done yet!"

Blitz blinked, still trying to make sense of Pinkie's peculiar behavior. As the unpredictable tale continued, Blitz couldn't help but wonder what other surprises Ponyville had in store for him.

i wont lie i sat here for a solid 5 mintues thinking (holy shit its back)

Based on what I read from previous chapters, it is not really Blitz fault from the start. It is Rainbow Dash and Applejack who should be sorry because they cheated on Blitz with each other. That is common sense. Cheating your partner with another individual is hurtful and traumatic for them because they devoted their time, love and trust to them, only for it to came crashing down.
