This story is a sequel to The Carpet

Blackthorn and Bramble return to Equestria pleading for help after the forest is overtaken by a powerful foe. Blackthorn is injured and in the hospital. He tells Twilight about the ordeal and sends a letter to Celestia right away. Rarity finds out he is injured and has so many emotions she doesn't know how to react to the news. She goes and visits him and old flames get rekindled.
