In a time long ago, back when the Two Sisters resided in their twin castle in the middle of the Everfree, there was tension between the great cities.
When Canterlot refuses to pay for the food they got from the town of Pommefort in a time of crisis, it comes to conflict, and the Princesses are far away.
Will there be war?

I like the introduction very much, although the duchess does not feel like Vetinari. Then again, maybe she isn't supposed to. Very well done, Excellent start to a story!

Ah, thank you! And no, she isn´t meant to be like Vetinari, but Inkareen will (hopefully) be like a mix of Sam Vimes, Maud Pie (whose full name in my headcanon is "Maudesrah Iuno Pie"), and Götz von Berlechingen.
Pommeford is not Ankh-Morpork. For one, it smells better.
