Even after becoming an honorary Apple, Pinkie still wonders whether the Apples and Pies are actually related. When the Pie family records are given a thorough look, however, it turns out that the two families share some relatives.

With this information, Applejack's relationship with Pinkie is forever changed as she now has a new set of cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Sorry I was so late to read this, as promised. I got stuck in the Gascogne region without internet.

I'd have loved to have more to say about the story, but really it's quite similar to the other stuff from you that I've read: that is to say a small snippet of a character's life. It's very short, which I appreciate, and takes a fair bit of time going into what Applejack and Pinkie are going through (which doesn't strike me as very serious, but given the story, I think that hardly matters). The only errors I found were a lowercase 'I' and Ponyville was missing an e, so unless I really go combing through the story, I think that's great.

If I wanted to improve it, I think I'd try giving Applejack a bit of conflict. Maybe come up with more of a reason why writing a letter to her new family was difficult or belabour the awkwardness a bit more. Something to give the story a bit more 'oomph'. As it is, I do think it was very pleasant and wholesome, though, and short though it was, I happen to enjoy short little things like this an awful lot. I enjoyed it a fair bit.
