I always thought Fluttershy probably smelled like a pet shop or a veterinary clinic.
I bet the others secretly hate her.

Kindness is a zero-sum game indeed if you're feeding carnivores.
You either have to kill [prey] or starve [predator], both of which are very unkind.
Given that, Fluttershy is arguably in character here.
Though if I would chose to put predator above prey in terms of "kindness", I wouldn't let them suffocate (fishes) or being eaten alive (mice).
Though even this is *kinda* in character for Fluttershy -- she doesn't have the guts to kill animals with her own hooves...
