A most wond'rous dream ... · 2:19am January 28th

... I was fortunate enough to witness the other night. There must be a word for the special eagerness to share, when one should be so remarkable. I was being taught, out of doors, or listening to a professor speak in a high British or refined American accent, and the lesson was given in poetic form upon the lighting of a bird on a slender branch, just beginning to dress in a green springtime. I can recall only parts of one line: 'what of the ewes (eyes, eves) when ..." This word was symbolic

Real Life Cozy Glow · 8:50pm Nov 23rd, 2018

I was observing a member of the target demographic playing Minecraft the other day. Apparently she had recently learned of the bucket capability, which allows one to transport water (or lava) and dump it where desired. I saw that she had dug a hole, into which a villager had fallen, and was dumping water into it. I asked her:

"Are you trying to drown that guy?"

To which she replied, "Yeah," as if it were obvious.

I said, "Don't drown him, that's really mean."

Question to Readers · 11:13pm Oct 28th, 2018

I've been toying with the idea of writing a prequel to Letter to Cozy Glow's Parents, but I'm not sure what the interest level would be. Would you want to read a short, extra-dark, M-rated one-shot dealing with Cozy's relationship with her parents, exploring why she is the way she is?

Feel free to leave a comment. I'll count upvotes to comments as votes for.

Review of the 2017 MLP Movie · 4:25pm Oct 6th, 2018

A year has passed since the release of the 2017 MLP movie, and interest within the community appears to remain strong. Artwork and fanfiction is produced on a daily basis, and discussions persist as to whether certain characters will ever make a return. Certainly, many review videos and blogs have been presented, generally dealing with the perceived quality of the writing, character treatment, plot, etc. Thus far, however, little attention has been given to the film’s thematic structure. One

Obsession has found a voice! · 1:22am Apr 29th, 2018

This is a night of victory, brethren! TheDizzyDan (aka CreepyPastaSalad) has again deemed one of my tales worthy of an audio reading, and that story is Obsession. Listen to his brutal, yet poetic narration of the story of Ron, an average college student and devotee of Nightmare Moon, who achieves perfect union with his goddess. (To find this masterful, but

Lunangrad · 1:10am Mar 28th, 2018

Greetings, brethren and sosteren*! We come to draw your attention to the Featured Box, for it contains what may become the defining story of our age in the fandom. A champion has risen, friends. One who would challenge the reign of Lunacy in sorrow and truth-telling. One who would give us Luna's tale as it is, and not as the false scribes would have us believe.

Karaoke and Cannibals · 4:31am Feb 18th, 2018

I was going to sing karaoke tonight, but I got too drunk. Darn dang it!

In other news, unless I misheard, it appears that Twilight enjoys "Canterlot Cannibal", a series in the Restricted Section of the Canterlot Library. And who can blame her? Any pony would be interested in learning of the history of her capitol city.

Bertrand Russell and the causes of war · 2:13am Dec 27th, 2017

I’ve been meaning for some time to air some musings on a matter that I’ve always found to be puzzling. The topic is an opinion I’ve seen expressed by a number of intellectuals and artists, most of whom I respect. It is that religion causes wars. As most religions are touted as means of establishing peace, assertions to the contrary are interesting and warrant investigation.
