Backstory material eh? Why not go for a situation where talking got her or a friend of her's in trouble, like, for instance, in a court trial or police (I suppose it would actually be Royal Guard) investigation. Believe me, I've seen alot of backstories like that, and the writers pull them off exceptionally well.
Also, nice work with Fluttershy's reaction! She really needs to be featured in a story that brings out her courageous side more often.

How long have you been working on this? Its very good, the doctor seems to be portrayed as a combination of a few doctors. I'm really fond of how you included river in this... Lets see how it turns out... But no SPOILERS.
