Maybe, but not at Gerry. Upset, surprised, and sad sure, but not angry. He outright went and told him the truth, so he can't really be mad at Gerry, because he wasn't leading Mac on to believe something, and it turns out Gerry just has some serious issues. If anything Mac shoukd be mad at Rarity, because she was the one trying to pair them up.

Perhaps a good way to discribe Gerry's situation to ponies would be to explain ti them that it as if they were forced to live as another person with a Cutie Mark that doesn't belong to them.

Gender Dysphoria sucks enough, I can't imagine what species dysphoria would do! Give the apparent lack of knowledge on the subject the ponies have, I doubt HRT is an option for Gerry either. Plus without clothes one avenue of changing his gender presentation is totally closed, one of the most obvious ones. Perhaps he can talk them into performing surgery to change his bone structure?

Something that occured to me, this whole Dysphoria thing has to be a nightmare for Applebloom specifically. It means it is entirely possible that what happened to Gerry could happen to her, for her to never get a Cutie Mark of her own. And the most terrifying part is that Twilight and Celestia can inflict in on people.
