Twilight Sparkle is one of the most powerful Unicorns in Equestrian history. But how would the events of the show change if Twilight, the Element of Magic, was never a Unicorn? Would she still be able to wield the element? Would she still make the same friends? Would she even be Celestia's student at all?

Sequel to Only A Filly.

Cozy Glow, the filly scourge of Equestria, was snatched from her stone prison mere moments before her destruction. Twilight Velvet tried to recover the innocent filly hiding within the hardened shell of the brutal Cozy Glow, but Cozy Glow cannot change so easily. She's convinced that Twilight Velvet must be using some kind of mind magic to make her feel things that she thought she had repressed long ago.

Now Cozy Glow must contend with the dangers of the forest as well as the dangerous Princess of Friendship who still pursues them. But the most dangerous risk of all may be learning to trust another pony ... and Cozy Glow isn't sure she'll make it out alive.

Written for the Cozy Glow Short Story Contest #3, with the same prompt as before - "Cozy Makes an Unusual Friend."

Author's Note: Although this is a sequel, my intention is for it to function as a stand-alone story as well. There is a little bit of catch-up in the first chapter so we can be reminded of some of the events of of the first story, but keep in mind that Cozy Glow is an unreliable narrator! You may prefer to read Only A Filly before this story, but I hope you will enjoy it as a stand-alone as well. A lot of people asked for a sequel, and I really hope you all enjoy it!

Young Twilight Sparkle is learning to teleport, but Asterism's Parable of the River vexes her. How can one say two different things are in fact the same?

Princess Celestia knows the feeling all too well. As Twilight forges forward, she wonders whether where she finds herself and what she tried to escape are really so different.

Twilight hasn't really been responding to her mother's letters. It wasn't really her fault, there was so much going on in the meantime! She thought she could have swept it under the rug, but now they're going to visit?! What's a mare to do?!

Twilight Sparkle and her family had been engaging with mental health professionals for over two decades, for her, for her parents, for her brother...Teaching them to cope and deal with the problems life threw at them from within and without. For Twilight's therapist, it was a story told by inches, told in sessions, bursts of an hour or two at a time, in emails and letters and text messages. She tried not to get invested, like a good therapist, but that's impossible when you've been involved in a family's life for over two decades, seen their children grow and learn.

In the last year that story had become dangerous, worrying. Trouble whispered at the edges of her awareness, things being out of sorts, red flags and warning alarms screaming...

Then the Games happened, and nothing made sense anymore.

The next story in the Rubicon storyline, following Snips, Snails, and Unicorn Tales, Fairy Godmother, and of course, Cross the Rubicon itself.

Its a little bit of a different experience, doing a story like this, but should be fun.

Twilight Velvet is weighed down with expectations. She is expected to marry, to provide her family with an heir. But Twilight Velvet wants more than motherhood. She wants more.

You know that moment when you just meet... that pony? The one who you have the instant chemistry with, and you can just tell that you're meant to complete each other's hearts?

Shining Armor felt that when he met Chrysalis at a park in Canterlot. Granted, she was disguised as Fleur de Lis, but that wasn't the point. He was attracted to her, be it by her looks, or her regal demeanor, and that's really all that matters.

Slowly, they fell in love, even after Chrysalis revealed her true form to the white unicorn. They're begining to imagine an entire life with each other, growing old together.

First, though, Chrysalis must meet Shining's parents.
