Apple Bloom has an eye problem, but since her family cannot afford the glasses she needs she has to settle for some donated ones. The pair she receives is thick rimmed and unsightly, causing further humiliation from Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Apple Bloom is soon going to wish that this was the only problem the glasses gave her, for she soon discovers that they are harboring a dark secret.

Winona is the Apple Family's sheepdog puppy. They adopted her from a shelter after she was abandoned by her previous owners and left to fend for herself as a stray for a while. The dog has been displaying strange behaviour during the fall of night and after this odd behaviour pattern carries on for a few weeks, it's blatantly obvious something isn't quite right with her.

When the family grows concerned for their family pet, Applejack and her two siblings decide to take her along to Fluttershy's cottage in hopes that she can communicate with her and find some answers as to why she is acting so strangely. Unfortunately, what they find out turns out to be rather heartbreaking.

It would have been the end of their story. But fate had other plans, which involved people that, under normal circumstances, they would have avoided as much as possible.

It takes two to tango. After a particularly manic morning demands she split her attention between aiding Apple Bloom and prepping Princess Twilight, one bold brew ensures there's enough Zecora to go around. No worries that her heterozygous halves are both a bit… "off" in their own unique ways. Zecora's head had enough wit and wisdom in it to be portioned out without side effects, right? Since when has invoking her apothecary arsenal ever over-complicated an already existing problem?

This was a collaborative effort between Casketbase77 of "Three Bolded Words" fame and Kodi Arfer. Casket wrote White's chapter and Kodi wrote Black's, with the opening and closing scenes done jointly. Two authors, two Zecoroota. Let the bipolar buffoonery begin.

When Apple Bloom asks the question her sister has been regreting for a long time, how will Applejack recall the darkest moments of her life when her world shattered?

It was supposed to be just a regular day for Applejack... until a peach farmer comes to town and challenges her to a rodeo competition. She doesn't know who this pony is, but he's out to beat her in whatever way he can. What did she do to tick him off? Does he really think he can beat Ponyville's best? How's it being the last blank flank in town, apart from a pair of ulta-annoying twins? It's annoying, it's frustrating and it's draining to come up with new ways to find your special talent, especially if the thing everypony thought was going to be yours turns out not to be.

Well, Apple Bloom has enough of her miserable existence and decides to head off into the Everfree Forest, trying to get a cutie mark in finding something she hopes she doesn't expect. For what would make a better Cutie Mark than the unknown?

Nothing goes wrong, except a lot of things, possibly everything.

The birth of a new life is a miracle of nature. Every mare and her family have their own harrowing tales of a birth in their family... Almost everypony gets their word in regarding their feelings regarding the events following such an event; everypony except for the foal. When Apple Bloom gives birth to a lively baby filly, she's delighted to have a foal to call her own. Alongside a proud father and her siblings, she couldn't be more happy. This isn't the pony-tale of a happy mother, though. Instead this is a blind, innocent newfoal's tale to tell.
