At the age of 20, Twilight Sparkle is still without her mark and since her brother is the captain of the royal guard, he could get Celestia to help her. Once Celestia realizes that she can't help her, she sends her to somepony who could help her. There is just one catch, that pony just happens to be Celestia's protege, Starlight Glimmer.

While this story takes place in the Glimmerverse, it is not canon to it nor does it affect anything that will happen in the future.

Thunderlane is a nice pony with a great heart. He has been married to Berry Punch for about five or six years now, and they both live happy lives.

Except Thunderlane has tendencies to go where he doesn't belong...

Colgate wakes up one day to see that her entire stock of toothpaste has somehow flooded her house! She can't teleport, so she has to get out of her house to ask Princess Twilight for help, which is easier said than done.
But maybe Twilight is a bad idea.
And Pinkie Pie.
And basically everypony in Ponyville.
Oh buck.

Lyra Heartstrings wakes up in a black void with no idea how she got there or who she is. Later she finds that she had her mind wiped by new technology from Canterlot scientists, but she got more than she opted for. A certain anomaly has inserted itself into her mind, and is trapped. Now, it's fighting to gain control, and it isn't going to be nice about it...

Believe that when everyone recalls his or her schooldays, Dormitory Checking is always fresh.... and one of the most impressive memories in our mind, it really provides us with something too much, too much awkward conversation in our later life. Even for the excellent student such as Twilight, Dormitory Checking isn't a good memory completely.

Knowing Colgate is a dentist, this is exactly what Lyra fears the most, and having broken up with her some time before, the prospect of the mare working on her teeth is not one that she's really looking forward to, the possible negative impacts being obvious. Colgate could be more than willing to use this to get what she wants. But does Lyra really know what she wants?

This is meant to be a story that can either be continued, or kept how it is. I leave that up to the readers.

While Colgate has seen many, many irritating patients, the supply never seems to run out so this is her next list.

While playing with her favorite toy train, it accidentally falls down the stairs and her sister steps on it, destroying it. Dinky gets really angry at that and says some things both she and her sister regret.

Active duty as a magus in Equestria is a life of travelling and dangerous situations. As much as Twilight Velvet enjoyed her work, she couldn't put it before family; not now when she has two foals to take care of. Someone higher up agreed, fast tracking her retirement; except, there's a catch: she has one last job to do, from the princess herself no less.

But one last job before she can be with her family should be no problem, right?

Twilight finds that she regrets ever thinking so when she finds herself completely cut off from the rest of Equestria. It doesn't help that she has to take care of more than just her own needs in order to survive.

Colgate is bored, very bored so she decides to take a walk through the Everfree Forest. She journeys into the darkest part of the forest and discovers a portal. She goes through it and discovers a different world from an earlier time. What she discovers there amazes her and piques her interest. She finds something that not only her, but her sister Lyra Heartstrings would want so she returns home and tells Lyra about this. The two sisters decide to go to this world and acquire what they want but the inhabitants will not make it easy.
