After finding out that her parents lied to her Twilight runs away from home and ends up at Celestia's door. Meanwhile, a lonely Celestia is longing for family.

Remembering how she was able to see the past with the potion that Zecora made for her during the vine incident, Twilight decides to make her own to try it out again while also experimenting to see if she can make potions see into the present and future as well.

The results were...interesting.

Shining Armor's birthday is today and he's turning four. He knows lots of things now that he didn't before.

He has no idea of the incredible surprise his parents have for him today.

Today is the best day of Twilight's life, for she has just succeeded in her dream of getting into Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. But along with her new status as a student of Celestia, there's also the matter of the unexpected surprise that accompanied her entry exam. A surprise she must now introduce to her family.

Every Saturday, Night Light and Shining Armor practice magic together; preparing Shining to be a guard for the princess one day. And every Saturday, Spike watches them from a distance in misery. He badly wishes he could be a part of the unicorn family, but without any magic of his own, What's a dragon to do?

Princess Cadance is nearly ready to deliver Princess Flurry Heart into the world, and Shining should be the happiest stallion in the world. After all, he's about to become a father—what stallion wouldn't rejoice at this fact?

And yet... something's eating away at him. Keeping him up nights. Driving him to speak with anypony who'll listen. An anxiety. A fear. A doubt.

An inadequacy.

Throughout her marriage, Twilight Velvet has ignored every romantic feeling she felt towards other ponies. She was a good wife, and good wives knew better than to dwell on thoughts like that. But as they grew older and experienced other ways of thinking, Twilight Velvet and Night Light realized her feelings don’t cheapen their marriage and the love they share.

With her husband’s encouragement, Velvet finally pursues the pony that’s been on her mind for twelve years.

Shining Armor had the best life ever. His Dad was literally the most awesome stallion in all Equestria (even though he was a cheat and played dirty). His Mom played even more dirty, and always seemed to win, but was the best mom in all of the whole of Equus.

It was perfect, just the three of them, until a filly intruded on their lives. Cadance von Cooties was her name, well, "von Cooties" was a title popularly applied to her. There is a reason she has this infamous title: she was a cootie sorceress. She could bend ponies' minds merely with the power of her cooties, and she was moving into Shining's house!

This was meant to be a one-shot, but the idea has stretched into 3 chapters. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
