Normally I'm a huge, huge fan of Spike and Momlestia, but I honestly have nothing against Spike and the Sparkle family, this was very cute, great job.

I know I'm super late to the party, but I just read this and dang, I love it! I really wish more writers would make stories about Spike's early years. While I usually prefer the head canon that Celestia raised Spike back then—I used that in my own stories—I always loved the idea that he was part of the "Sparkle family," too. I always imagined he would call Twilight Velvet and Night Light, "Mrs. Mom and Mr. Dad," kind of like Darwin in The Amazing World of Gumball.
Anywho, I really enjoyed this! Great job!
