Mary Trottings is a unicorn foal living in Bridlewood. She has a dark green coat, an orangish-red mane and tail, done into pigtails, and slightly lighter shaded orange eyes with no cutie mark. She's a bit of an introvert and much prefers to be alone and by herself. She also hangs out at an abandoned house after school sometimes and today was just one such day in the fall, as the leaves rustled on the forest floor and there was nothing else to do in town... But she didn't expect to meet another pony there...

On that day, Queen Opaline was more than a bit too mean. Misty Brightdawn couldn't take it anymore, so when night came, she decided to run away from home.
While walking and crying, the light blue unicorn encountered a magnificent and monstrous entity. And that entity decided to confront Opaline.

The maybe not so spectacular third, and final chapter on the legend saga. This time William will have to face one last great lost in his life and confront his biggest fears once and for all.
Sadly, to read this story you do need to read at least "A Legend Returns" although I recommended you to read "The Legend Starts" as well.

This story is a sequel to My Little Pony: Legends of Old and New

Life was peaceful now that Midnight was gone… for most ponies. Sunny and her friends were taking care of Solaris and a baby dragon that Hitch had recently rescued. Everything seemed to get better… at least for the most part. Sunny could feel that there was something more to the magic in the world and the unity crystals… a bunch of new powers that were just waiting to be awakened. Little does she know… she’s not the only one.

Between an evil pony who wants to steal magic along with her team of highly trained assassins, Sunny having nightmares every night for a long time and becoming more and more like Midnight than she wants to admit… she’s in for the ride of her life. Whilst doing some research based on information sent to them by Misty, Izzy and her father find references in old documents to something called the Lost Engine. Concerned that Opaline is keen to get her grubby hands on this as well, the team set off on a search for the Lost Engine, following myriad cryptic clues and strange documents on their way. But nothing is ever as it seems, as what seems like a grand adventure soon turns into a race against time as other powers make their intent known.

Loosely based on Secret of the Unicorn, with some stylistic elements lifted from the Uncharted games. Written as part of the 40 years of My Little Pony celebrations.
