Tragic? I hardly call it tragic when the individual in question is clearly someone who would abuse such powers, Opaline clearly would've squandered all those gifts and powers for her personal gain no matter what happened to her years ago. Misty's the tragic one.

The tragic should have been in parentheses, so that's a mistake on my part. Never fear; I won't make the mistake of Gen 4's later writers.

Misty, though, definitely agreed. But in a way she's become something of an iron woobie; although nobody should have to go through how she suffered, it has given her quite thick skin.

totally agree with that. I was never a fan of Bionicle and still not. Plus, much of the stuff we got wasn't bad. But I blame the final sets we got/invasion from below for killing the franchise as I just don't think it was good from the start.
