Consumed · 8:33pm Jul 29th, 2015

Darkness encompassing the last friendly light;
Pressure and pain and that sharp cutting knife
Puncturing your skin with all its force in a fight
On any night, stopping your flight.

It burns and it boils
and for all of your toils
it gives neither hid nor hair
as you slowly suffocate from the lack of air.

Your bones ache,
your skin and muscles are shredded off
and for every quake
you drown and you cough.

It's warm, deathly so.
When everything seems to blow
and you fall.

A Letter and A Wish - A Sunny Starscout Poem · 3:42am Nov 8th, 2021

Amidst the fear and division,
We hold fast to a mission,
An idea springs like a fish,
With a letter and a wish,
To make friends peacefully,
To communicate in harmony.

You gaze,
As it floats up in the sky,
Held by a lantern so high,
Through your little shining eyes,
We made a message of love to show,
Yet not knowing where it'll go.

Somewhere, in a forest far away,
A horn finds hope,
Yet not knowing what sent it that day.

As the spindle of fate spins the past,

IN WHICH I GO FULL EMO (IN-CHARACTER)
Hello and thank you for reading my latest story. I really don't know how much I can say about this one. But I may as well attempt to explain it past the jump. I hope you enjoyed it. I did in fact enjoy writing it.

After-Christmas Post · 1:22am Dec 27th, 2017

Hey everyone, enjoy your respective Christmases/holidays? Mine was chill: by myself, with my dad's dog, watching 8 Mile finally. Also watched Arthur Christmas which, by god, is a really great Christmas movie. In all seriousness, go watch it if you haven't.

The Feather and The Stone · 11:42am Aug 29th, 2017

Oh look, another poem. This one was created for Seargent Spring to recite in the latest and last chapter of The Train Ride by Snuffy in a scene where the subject of racism comes up. Sadly for me, he declined to use it, but, I was so proud of it, I had to share it with y'all. I suppose part of the reason I'm so proud, is that while this was percolating in my head for about

(Romantic Poetry) From Simple Friends to Best Friends · 4:46pm Jun 20th, 2020

Cuddle me, cuddle me,
Smother me, smother me,
Forever in my divine arms I shall hold,
Your heart will be mine for as long as time may be foreseen,
Kiss me, kiss me,
Love me, love me,
The only lips I want to graze against mine are your cherry ovals,
Sweet and tender kiss of a rosey apple,
Your eyes do shimmer and my insides flutter with glee when we gaze into each other's orbs of desire and fire,
Be my baby and I'll never let you go,

Magical Mystery - A Hitch Trailblazer Poem · 3:36am Nov 8th, 2021

All the creatures and critters,
Flying, walking, some swimming with flippers,
By their own way, yet constantly being hitchers.

Close by and sometimes clingy,
Every time I'm out on duty,
Sunny finds it so cutie,
Although it still annoys me.

Glancing at a mirror asking thee,
Give me a clue to this magical mystery.

Why do feathers and fur flock to me,
Is it the caring side they see?

Do I hold a sort of aura,
That exudes safety in a plethora,
Do they feel so secure,

Never The Final Word: Week of updates! · 11:06pm Sep 12th, 2016

So I've got a few back-burner projects that are getting finished on Dragon Time — popping back up after slow-cooking long past the point at which mere mortals have forgotten them. Case in point: After … um … literally a year since my Never The Final Word open anthology of commentfics was last touched :raritydespair:, I finally managed to set aside an all-nighter to dig through my submission backlog.

If · 3:53am Apr 22nd, 2016

If freckles were lovely, and day was night,
And measles were nice and a lie warn't a lie,
Life would be delight,-
But things couldn't go right
For in such a sad plight
I wouldn't be I.

If earth was heaven, and now was hence,
And past was present, and false was true,
There might be some sense
But I'd be in suspense
For on such a pretense
You wouldn't be you.

If fear was plucky, and globes were square,
And dirt was cleanly and tears were glee

A Happy Father's Day Message to Dads Everywhere! (Warning - adult humour involved!) · 2:59pm Jun 16th, 2019

Dearest Dads everywhere,

Thank you for all that you have done,
For not without you and mum, you would have no son,
And so, I thank you, Daddy, for being there for me and for bringing me up to be a macho man,
One day, I hope to grow up to be as manly and as hairy as you, both upstairs and downstairs,
But I seriously hope I don't get any grey hairs, for I would rather go bare,
Dads are for sharing a pint with and for having a friend to enjoy life with,

On life, death, and the Nature of Phliosophy · 5:03pm Jan 22nd, 2020

I got carried away in the youtube comment section debating someone about death and philosophy.
I know its totally dorky and kinda cringe but I want to share it with you anyway :twilightsheepish:

Philosophy is an ambiguous beast, death, life, consciousness - all things that are heavily debated in philosophy and all things that have no wholly infallible answer.

Daughter (Poetry) · 6:11am Apr 9th, 2018

People, not so long ago, I had a weird dream that follows something that I'm open to in future life. To say the least, the dream was unsettling and it hit me hard. I won't go into details, but I will say that I remember crying about it for a while. Yesterday, I sat down and opened up my poetry book again. Here's what I wrote -

Daughter - By Dan J. Ribe

From first glance, I fell into a love trance,
Amber eyes and gentle smile to resemble care,
