IN WHICH I GET EXPERIMENTAL
Before I get this show on the road, have some Laura Brehm's newest song, dropped yesterday!
Okay. Now that I've improved your life via Laura, I'm going to try and improve mine. Be back after the jump.
Well, I was a dumbass and forgot to take my water bottle with me to the gym, so I could only do 13 minutes on the treadmill instead of the 30 I'd planned. I parch easily, so not having water nearby seriously cuts into my ability to exercise. I still did what I could. I'll go back tomorrow night as well.
In the meantime, I think I'ma pull an all-nighter.
Those of you who have been following me for awhile know that I like to dabble in experimental writing styles. Hell, my very first Burritoverse story, Sunset's (of course), was my attempt at a character having a stream of consciousness. Highs & Lows was a very literal stream of consciousness on my part -- written in a single go while on a sugar and/or manic high, I wanted to see what I could write before I crashed, which I began to do just as I finished. In addition to those, I wrote a story entirely without commas and another without capitalization (except for one line that resulted in Desu for the heretic). I also managed to stitch several YouTube Poops into a coherent if surreal narrative. And finally, I wrote a story where nearly two-thirds of the dialogue was various song lyrics.
So… you don't always get "normal" writing from me. This, I guess, is part of the reason it takes me so long to put out stories.
Why do I mention this? Well, because I just started working on a "story" that I've wanted to do for at least the last couple months. It's another experiment, which means it may take awhile to complete -- and by that, I mean reach 1000 words. This is a tough assignment, so I'm not going to put in any more words than I have to (the text itself, plus whatever framing I need to reach a round number).
Rarity thinks about Sunset Shimmer, but the entire thing is structured poetry.
This will be my last "Sunsarity" story before the final one where both of them lay it all out on the table… and possibly lay themselves out on the table -- I can neither confirm nor deny what hanky-panky they might or might not get up to, if any at all.
It really sucks when you have ideas popping into your head but already have incomplete stories that need attention. Some of y'all suggested my Orangeglow story should indeed be a standalone.
I realized it needs to have two chapters, which would automatically make it NOT a Burritoverse story -- Burrito stories, you may have noticed, have to follow specific rules. One of the rules I didn't mention is that each one is a one-shot, without exception. So I guess that, whenever I actually get around to it, Orangeglow's Last Day will simply be a side-story within the Burritoverse yet not part of the master list given in THE GUIDE.
That said, as the Burritoverse itself is a "Perpendicular Continuity" which intersects all possible timelines, his story will be extremely important in further establishing a character who isn't him. All I'll say for now is that RI2 will probably call for my head on a platter with this one, even though I've already dropped hints and set stuff up in a Burritoverse story that takes place after this one I'm envisioning.
A lot on my plate, and I'm honestly kinda tired. I think instead of drinking my coffee, I'ma set my alarm for early because I need to go to the bank at some point during the three hours it's open.
Peace out!
With as much build up as their relationship has had I’m half expecting Rarity to pull off the equivalent of the Turn Down For What music video.

Obviously I'd heard the "song" many times but never saw the video until you mentioned it. I'm still not sure what the hell I watched. It broke my fragile little mind.
I can say this: Sunset's apartment building is old, but I don't foresee any crashing through the floor. That would require me introducing her downstairs neighbours and saying which small business is on that corner of the ground level and that's more effort than I'm willing to put in. I will not rule out dry-humping though.
I'm worried with all this buildup that readers may be disappointed with the resolution. (in terms of SRA canon itself, there IS no resolution; these shipfic stories are a separate timeline)

That video is definitely a trip.
