So, a few days back, a friend of mine invoked me to post on my Tumblr blog about a certain infamous player I knew of from the halcyon days of running Dungeons and Dragons in college. I spent most of my free time yesterday typing out the post, and, having finished, I figured you guys might also enjoy it. So, without (much) further ado, I present to you the legend of Gene, Destroyer of Games.

Lo, what fool calls me forth? What boon do you seek?
What I learned while looking for viable cover images for an upcoming stories:
• Searching for "higher dimensional spaces" will mostly get you wireframes and exotic geometry.
• Searching for "higher dimensions" will mostly get you the stuff the later parts of expanding brain memes are made of.
In any case, I think we're in business:
Perfection. <3
Expect an update this week.
Lately, I've been playing a lot of Hades, a Greek mythology-themed rogue-lite where you try to resolve the pantheon's family drama by repeatedly attempting to escape the underworld.
Don't worry, I'm going somewhere with this. Mild game spoilers ahead.
It's getting pretty crazy out there, and it can be hard to tell fact from fiction on the Internet at the best of time. Holy's done us all a favor and compiled a very effective rundown of the coronavirus here. Keep reading this blog for something a bit more lighthearted.
First off, a reminder that my HarmonyCon panel is tonight. See here for further details.
Now, let’s talk about card games. I know, a stark departure from my usual subject matter.
So I was playing SMITE (a MOBA) (gathering footage for a hypothetical gaming channel), and who should end up in my game but Csquared08? In the after-match lobby, they asked if I had any other accounts anywhere, and FIMfic came up.
Sometimes, you let a particular community get so cordoned off from the rest of your life, that's it's a bit interesting when it bleeds over into other things. It's a small internets after all.
First, some background music to set the tone.
I just thought I'd write a top 5 list of MLP fanfictions that I love. Now these aren't in order because who cares.
1. Fallout Equestria- One of the first Fanfictions of MLP I found and thanks to Visualpony the Narrator I was able to listen to it because I'm a very slow reader. Steelhooves became one of my favourite characters and I loved Littlepip.

Hello Chaps and Chapettes.
I am what is known affectionately and sometimes ridiculed, as a furry. To those who don’t know what that is, it means that I am part of a community that roleplays online, and often offline, as an animal. This can come in many forms, from your average animals that walk on two legs, to more commonly known furries who walk around on two legs with forms not too dissimilar from what you see in Disney films like Robin Hood and more recently, Zootopia.
I made a YTP! Check it out!

NOTE: This post is very picture-heavy, so it may take some time to load.
While I was looking through a Target toy catalog for completely mature reasons, I ended up coming across this thing:
Hey, a dragon toy that looks like breathes fire! It even comes with a toy marshmallow so you can do that cartoon gag with it, how fun! And its name is Torch...wait a second...
*Googles Dragon Lord Torch*
Just an announcement for those who care and haven't yet heard: It looks like there'll be another hour-long Equestria Girls special airing next Saturday, starting at 11:30 EST. (I'll be in the middle of the Core Set 2019 prerelease at the time, but that's what recording is for.)
Of course, that doesn't explain the blog title. Certain eagle-eyed folks on Derpibooru combing through the latest promo do:
You may find this amusing. I hadn't thought about it in many years. A long time ago I decided to go horseback riding with family members. It was a beautiful day on a far off trail ranch. We rented some time with a riding instructor. I'd never been before but it was surprisingly easy and the horse I was given was a very friendly one. Everything went well for most of the day. It was quite beautiful and sprawling there with plenty of trail to ride on. Sunny and very clear it was.
Guh. I had to wait all day to work my story, but now that I'm finally home and kiddo is tucked into bed, all I can do is stare blearily at my computer screen. My thighs even ache for some reason.
I know why I'm tired. I had like 3-4 hours of sleep last night. But I can't friggin go to sleep now. It's too early. I just can't focus on writing anything decent either. This is maximum suckage. The suck is over 9000. This is suck in space.
So, real quick as I'm working my first day of a new, new job. (It's a long story) But basically me and a few friends; one of which is a talented writer in his own right, and the other is my editor at the moment, decided to get together and try doing a podcast.
Will it be good? Maybe
Would I recommend this to my friends? Probably not
With a little help from some other characters as well.
Not too much else for me to say, just that I hope this makes some people smile or laugh as we go into the hectic Christmas/New Year's season.
