Out of Context Story Teasing · 5:18am Sep 27th, 2016
Because context is for the weak.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT LAST WEEK WAS? DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER WHAT LAST FRIDAY WAS? BECAUSE I JUST REMEMBERED RIGHT THIS SECOND AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT.
Let’s talk about SunDagio for a bit. Depending on how exactly you define it, Lost in Paradise is somewhere between my second depiction of the pairing and my fifth.
Spoilers for Lost in Paradise follow. If you haven’t read that one yet, then I’d suggest going no further until you have.
As my article on knowing the ending demonstrated, there are many tools you can use to help you complete a story of any length. At issue in using all such tools is building confidence while moderating procrastination. Almost all authors, especially unpublished and poorly published ones, have a crippling fear of failure1. Going from idea, to character generation, to plot generation, to writing, to
(Note: I should have fixed the issues with the images. It looked like imgbox.com went down for a bit, so I swapped them all to PhotoBucket. If you see issues, let me know!)
Howdy folks!
I spent some time considering what I can do to get some work out there, so I came up with this short story I've had for quite some time. It was a story based on the series I started but never finished called Afterworld.
I published it last night as an e-book for Kindle and many other devices. It's short, it's crappy and I know it, but what can you do? I've made some edits to the old version, which made me cringe, and this is what the result looks like.
From time to time, despite our best efforts, we don't have an interview ready to post come Friday — but that doesn't mean we can't recommend some reading material! We keep track of the stories which passed our approval process but whose authors haven't responded to our contact attempts. We'd like to give these stories their time in the spotlight too, so here are two RCL-approved tales for your reading pleasure.
Pro tip: when writing dialogue for Spoiled Rich, imagine her giving one of those '90s anime "oh ho ho ho" noblewoman's laughs. If you write a line, and you can't see her doing it afterwards, rewrite it so you can.
New story is out.
I should really start finishing one before i stand to start another one...
But inspiration of a good German fan Author here on Fimfiction just made me try it.
Enjoy the Displaced story i hope
Stay snuggly ♡
Behold! The best chapters in the entire story! I’m not exaggerating; the Mount Aris arc is fantastic! And you have Great White Prime to thank for its existence.
Incoming Scootaloo for you all!
(Note: We’re looking to re-feature three of our spotlighted authors! Our “Correct the Record” contest runs through Sunday, April 23. Weigh in with your votes and nominations on our group thread.)
When it comes to romance, today's story aims high.
Not only is it comedy, but this is the kind of comedy that anyone can easily enjoy. This is The Alicorn Curse.
For those of you who don't know, my scoring rubric goes like this:

State of the Author: January February March
Last time I wrote one of these I was all braggy about managing to do a SotA two months in a row. And I was going to do a post for New Year, and . . . aw, what the heck, it’s not too late yet.
Contractual obligation ☑
So I won Dinohorse’s Tumblr raffle. Either I’m going to go with my rational side and get a good full body reference for one of the OCs I don’t have one for yet (probably Valencia), or I’m going to request Nurse Redheart in a Little Red Riding Hood costume. The rational side doesn’t seem to be winning.
Anyway, the next Glitched Stitches should be out next week. Look forward to it!
So, this has been a work years in the making. I was going to wait until chapter 2 was completely finished before publishing this, but then I got a nice comment from FanOfMostAnything of all people asking if there was more, and I guess that motivated me to go ahead and put it up. Thanks Fan!
First, Music of the Day: I feel like we need some Explosions in the Sky to set the mood.
First Breath After Coma
Great post rock band, if you don't know.
