So Estee did a thing last week that I thought was a cool idea — sift through your own back catalogue and rank your own stories from best to worst. I found it interesting as a reader to see where the author's opinions differed from mine — so I figured I'd spread the idea and post my own rankings, along with bonus commentary on why I felt the way I did!
Alas, my dear readers, I must confess to weakness! For my parents did contact me a few days ago and bribed me into a visit with plans for a fishing trip, which I've been wanting to be apart of for some time. This means I'll be heading home tomorrow after I finish my literary duties. Hey everypony...it's me again...that guy that does the Universal magic stuff. As you can...see...it's been a long month for me so far and I've got a lot of stuff to do so I thought I would give you a quick little update.
Those who frequent Quills and Sofas know that I can be pretty demanding in my critiques. It's not often I give stories a 5/5 rating, even if they're from very proficient authors. Even when I do, it's very rare that I don't have any improvements to offer at all.
So, Christmas is now two days in the rearview mirror, but perhaps you find yourself needing just a little more holiday ficcing to get your through until next December (or next November, or next June, or whenever they start putting up Christmas stuff these days). And perhaps you also speak Russian! If so, then have I got a deal for you.
Apparently the answer to that first question is me, given that the first two reviews in this set were from a Read It Now set that I let sit for so long it ended up Read It Later. But I felt like reading some stories yesterday evening to round out a set.

Ah, December. My other favorite month, and a host to a variety of special occasions and holidays. Lots of planning, excitement, anticipation, and a little bit of stress on the side. Well, these days, seems like the little bit of stress is a little more than it has been. Thanks, beer-bug </s>.
So, I've come to an interesting dilemma.
I'm not a person who swears... like... ever. I can't even bring myself to do it accidentally. I always catch myself and change it to something else like "shoot", "dang", "poop", and even "friggin'".
However, the characters in my story are the kinds of characters that would swear given the situation called for it.
So I know I said this would be out last week, but in an efforts to make it a far better story the release was delayed until now.
Which is awesome, because now I get a good hour to chill at home before I have to go back to school. Thank god I live within walking distance.
Now pardon me as I meander about and mentally prepare myself for school.

I finally got around to watching Wreck-It Ralph, and let me just say, I am so glad I chose to see it after IYGALL finished, 'cause boy, does "IYGALL video game AU" sound weird as heck. As much as I enjoyed the movie...after that twist, I can't stop thinking about how similar the two are. (If anyone else has noticed the similarity, rest assured, it surprised me as much as it did you.)
In any case, what this means is I know the first thing I'm gonna draw 2018~
And it's a lengthy one! I hope you all enjoy it, and do remember to tell me what you both don't like and like, so I can adjust accordingly, within reason, of course.
