Ah, December. My other favorite month, and a host to a variety of special occasions and holidays. Lots of planning, excitement, anticipation, and a little bit of stress on the side. Well, these days, seems like the little bit of stress is a little more than it has been. Thanks, beer-bug </s>.
Wistful thinking aside, I do have some updates to share. The first of which is that I'm going to try to work on more writing as the end of the month approaches. Got some stories and chapters I wanna try to post then (including a secret project I came up with recently). I also intend on trying to finish further chapters for "Beautiful Stories" and "Sworn Through Swords". Since "Dark Hearts" is over in the "Elements" series, I need to make sure that I can keep working at these to act as my new bread 'n' butter.
Secondly, I'm considering some other writing projects that don't have anything to do with the site. One is a long running TTRPG idea that I've been plugging away at for a few years now on and off (just had a recent thought about how the gameplay would work, and it turns out I need to re-work quite a bit of what I have). The other is a case study on my favorite video game ever. Not the whole game (as the majority of it has been talked about to death), but certainly a good forth of the mechanics behind it, how ingenious it is, and how it compares and contrasts to the rest of the series (especially during the evolutionary process over the gaming generations).
And, finally, just bragging about some of the games I've been playing to keep my head calm and collected (and distracted). Playing A LOT of "Binding of Isaac" lately, because of Repentance dropping for the consoles. God damn, does it make the game so much more fun than it used to be. Seriously, I liked the game quite a bit in its AB(+) days, but some of the nonsense it used to have make it a bit of a slog and less enjoyable than it is now. Sure, it's objectively harder, but it's also 100% fairer. Next to that, been getting back into Dragonball Xenoverse again on and off. Mostly just pissing about with the gameplay and re-living childhood fantasies from when I was a wee DBZ fan. On a different system, I've been trying to finish up playing Pokemon Black 2 (just have two more badges to pick up), and I've recently started a playthrough of Metroid: Samus Returns (which was a gift from my wife).
Anyway, that's everything on my mind at the moment. I hope to get some work done that'll give you guys something to keep you few readers entertained.
