I finally got around to watching Wreck-It Ralph, and let me just say, I am so glad I chose to see it after IYGALL finished, 'cause boy, does "IYGALL video game AU" sound weird as heck. As much as I enjoyed the movie...after that twist, I can't stop thinking about how similar the two are. (If anyone else has noticed the similarity, rest assured, it surprised me as much as it did you.)
In any case, what this means is I know the first thing I'm gonna draw 2018~
Babs is gonna have so many hairclips and a cute hoodie. I probably won't do her adorableness justice, but at least it's easier for me to draw than my original planned cosplay for her (Kyoko Sakura). Maybe it's just me, but she suits Vanellope to a T.
And I might draw Mosely in King Candy's costume, too, but that'll come later for obvious reasons. Those being that neither I nor the readers care about Mosely as much as Babs.
Kyoko? That would have been an interesting cosplay for Babs. Out of all the girls, why Kyoko? Her family?

It started off as a silly "they both have apple motifs and red hair" thing. But when I got to thinking about it, they kinda have a similar purpose in canon as the character that starts off really antagonistic, but ends up having a tragic backstory (albeit IYGALL being more tragic). Plus, it was just cute to imagine Babs trying to show off with a cosplay spear.
I did get a commission of that eventually. If you like, I can scan it and show it to you. The artist had to make it anthro to get all of Kyoko's outfit details, but it's still really cool.
Also, if you've read my stuff on my Actress Square novel series, I had a dream once where Valka (the magical girl in it that is supposed to represent hope but who ended up getting broken hard) wore a costume like Madokami's. I liked the idea of her being a hope goddess, and while it'll never happen in story canon, I'd love to draw fanart of that, too.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on IGYALL being more tragic. Not to downplay your story any (because I loved it), but nothing that happened to Babs was a consequence of her actions. Meanwhile, Kyoko's good intentions had disastrous results.
And yeah, it'd be neat to see that commission

I’ll definitely show it to you then. And you do make a good point. I meant that IYGALL is more tragic than MLP canon Babs, because it sure as heck isn’t more than Madoka!
