You know that story that I published for the writing competition:
Well, guys, I did it. First place out of 19 stories. Link to the announcement.
I'm pretty stoked about winning. Since the announcement, I've picked up 4 new upvotes and sadly one angry anon downvoted both Dibs and its parent fic, Don't Feed The Bats. It's all good though. So long as my haters are at my back and never at my front, then life is good, eh?
-My 'something silly' is well on its way. In 'Tylenol with Codeine,' the unicorn created by Greg Proops for the Harmontown podcast's D & D adventures is sought by the Mane 6 for help against a vicious monster called the Ember Mauler. Don't expect much.
-Progress on 'Changelings' and 'Victory' have been slowed somewhat by a new story idea. I'm currently debating whether or not to write it or pass the idea on to someone else.
CONTEST WINNER (With a damn bullet, I might add...)
Well hey, there guy's it looks like I have some announcements. One of them being I believe my identity was stolen, I had capital one and discovered some strange things bought from my bank transactions mainly from fucking taco bell and PlayStation. So going to deal with that today which I'm so fucking happy about being fucked over. My brother and his friends ate almost all the damn groceries in the house i bought that was supposed to feed the whole family for till i got my check, but add to it i
Not a blue ribbon, but I'll take it.
"Okay, finally finished with Thorax's thing."
"Yep, now, let's see who dies next."
"Go Cousin Hero!"
"Yeah, go me!"
Day 4:
Smolder attempts to climb a super tall tree but falls to her death
Stinger poisons Gallus' drink, he drinks it and dies
Mantis searches for water and firewood
Hero searches for water
Ocellus dies from an infection
Due to family reasons, I'm away from my computer and forced to write this with my phone. So I'll keep this short and sweet.
Now I have some good news, as a thank you to those who are still in the competition, you all get a day off tomorrow. But on Monday, it's back to business.
Anyway, here's the results to round 3. Another thing is this round will only have one person eliminated. With that, let's begin.
A very apt blog title, this one; the result totally blew me away. After a Fashion, my entry in the Barcast's Make Rarity Not Garbage contest, won third place in said contest.
Aragon won, of course. I wasn't expecting to even medal, but with him in the mix, it just isn't fair for us mere mortals.
Hey hey hey, everyone.
On the 11th of September, we launched this Change of Pace contest with the hope that it’d stand out from other contests and promote a new opportunity to try out a different kind of writing challenge, and I personally very much hope that everyone found it engaging, interesting, and a good opportunity to learn new things.
I did, however, also promise prizes, which means I’ve got to announce winners.
My Wings Will Keep You Safe has won 2nd place in the Poniverse Summerpalooza: Family is Magic contest!
Check it out! It's all official!
I'm super excited for this. Writing has been difficult for me for the past year or two, because a) new baby, and b) the pandemic knocked me out of practice for some of my more passionate projects.
Hello everyone,
The deadline has passed. The concepts are in and have been reviewed. Before I announce the winners, though, may I just say how thankful I am to everyone who participated. There has been, genuinely, not one OC that was badly made and it was honestly very difficult for me to choose the eventual winners. You all did a great job!
Okay, as of right now, I've been busy working on the commissioned sequel for Unfamiliar Patterns, which is titled Clashing Colors. The story (which may or may not be a precursor for more tales of their relationship) will follow Rarity shortly after revealing her relationship with Zecora to her friends. Even though the two intend to be public about being marefriends soon, Zecora is insistent about having her come out to her family privately out of respect. Rarity agrees, but that
Despite grad school and a significant mental block, last night I hit 50,000 words in this year's NaNo story. It is nowhere near done and has sections missing (because I was trying to get around the block), but I completed the challenge. 2 for 2, two years in a row.
Welcome all to the results to the semi-final round of the OC Hunger Games!
Now, this challenge was to show that these OCs were more than talented at fighting and surviving, it was to prove they can pull off some rockin' moves. With that, let me introduce the third place winner of this round. Proving once again she can be a powerhouse in this game, please welcome...
ObsidianPony! She showed her OC was skilled at both thievery and the beautiful art of Belly Dancing! Wonderful job!
Alright, the first challenge has officially been wrapped up, meaning if you didn't submit your story in time, you are now eliminated! Oh well, maybe next time!
Welcome to the result blog of the OC Hunger Games! Here, I will list the winners of Round One. I know there are few who haven't submitted a story yet so I'll be nice and give you the rest of today to submit. If you fail to do so, your opponent will win. Okay, the first couple that have submitted a story was...
Kaiber Crystal and Double Moon Flare.
Kaiber's story was short... Too short. So short that I can add it here.
