After five seasons, MLP:FIM finally completed the CMC arc. They got their cutie marks. And their purpose: to help others find their own cutie marks, or help correctly interpret other's marks to find their true calling. It's so meta, I'm surprised their cutie mark isn't the Hasbro logo.
This past week has been a blur. Did I really just meet the voice of Limestone Pie last weekend? Did I really stumble through my words with her like an idiot? That's a yes on both. And I don't even know if that was the best part of the weekend.
Well looks like Maud got herself a boyfriend! And he sure is...interesting.
Guys, it's been a great 3 years, but all good things must come to an end. As of today I'm jumping ship for the Zig and Sharko fandom. Proper farewells after the break.
Something something, watching for the plot, something something
Also, an update of sorts. More after the break...
My good friend Flammenwerfer is writing a story and I've done the cover art for him. The story is called "Surveying Maud" which is, more or less, a sequel to "Sculpting Marble" but much shorter and we all get to see the beloved Maud Pie in all her glory!
Check out my DA page here with all my other work.
I've commissioned two pictures that I enjoy a great deal that could work as the cover for my upcoming Limestone X Flash story, Heavy Rock. The thing is, they work for very different reasons IMO, and I'm not sure which to choose. Would you be willing to vote in the comments below? October 31st is not just Halloween, but the day To Serve In Hell returns.
Basic facts:
I know basic geology, and a bit more on gemology, but not enough to readily do something like this.
Everyone knows about the Pie family at this point I hope. What I specifically need is someone who is pretty knowledgeable about both the different members of the Pie family, and different rocks that would match them. One I came up with on my own is obsidian for Maud, because it has a ridiculous melting point, much like Maud's near saint-like patience.
This is it, folks! I'm flying out to BronyCon on Thursday, and I look forward to meeting many horse-peeps who I might not get to meet otherwise. I've also got my print run of Bra Quest! and Other Tales of Limestone Pie in-hand, which will be available through the BronyCon Bookstore.
I've shown you the front before, but here's the back:
It's SPOOKY how close they got to my Inkie/Marble and Blinkie/Limestone headcanons.
This episode isn't going to kill the names the fandom's engraved in me. Sure, I'll relent for Bulk Biceps and CONDITIONALLY for Sweetie Drops, but unless I'm writing something that needs them and tethers itself to canon, it's Inkie, Blinkie, and Clyde and Sue. And Maud. Oh, and Colgate trumps Minuette.
So after the discussion in my Valentine's Day blog, I thought it would be fair to bring some cute pictures of all our favorite ponies to those who, like me, are spending this day alone. So as well as my new story, Birds of Few Feathers, here's some glorious and possible saucy, ponies! Expect adorable Waifus and cute pony crushes galore below the brake!
I hate admitting defeat.
If you're curious how much I hate admitting it, go look at To Serve In Hell. There were any number of moments over its three-year gestation when I could've just thrown in the towel and walked away. But I just kept clawing my way toward the finish line, however slowly, and however impossible it seemed to get there at times.
I hate admitting defeat.
Introduction
I generally liked this episode, which had something important to say about sub-cultural variance in Equestria and how customs can vary even among kin. There are some interesting questions raised by the story, however.
I. What Is the Nature of the Choosing/Pairing Stone?
Spoiler bells, spoiler bells, spoilers go away!
It's another winter holiday episode before a fall episode. What is up with time in Equestria? Or perhaps airing times. The mid-season hiatus knocked a few things on, and other things off: perfect timing for the 5th anniversary, but the seasonal stuff got whacked pretty hard. Not as hard as the stinger in Friendship Games, though.
So after my last post, I think the cute, little mare we should devote our attention to this time is gorgeous, little Marble Pie!
I mean just look at her, she's so unbelievably cute. Being one of the so-called cute pony trifecta along with Flutters and Coco Pommel, I really think she deserves some love! Plus, she'd got such a cute butt! Get some gorgeous, pretty pie images below the break!
Enjoy! (Note: image unrelated - don't worry, I'd never kill off a Pie sister.)
