October 31st is not just Halloween, but the day To Serve In Hell returns. 
Basic facts:
- All of the old chapters will be taken down.
- One new chapter (including re-releasing updated versions of 1-11) will be posted daily.
- Yes, chapters 1-11 will retread some things if you've read them before--but they've been heavily revised with an eye toward making the novel more consistent in theme and characterization.
Nonbasic lands facts:
- The novel is divided into four "books" plus an epilogue.
- Each "book" begins with a brief prologue/interstitial.
- I feel it represents my dead-level best horsewords to date.
I hope that Book 4 especially grips you as hard as it does me. Without wanting to toot my horn unduly: I have to make a point of not letting myself go back and start reading bits of it, because once I start I have trouble stopping before I hit the very end.

Thanks for commenting about that! I probably wasn't clear enough about what's happening with chapters 1-11, and I added a note to help explain it better.
tl;dr: There will be new versions of those chapters. The guts of what happens in them is still broadly the same, but certain characters come out looking very different.
Sassy is the unquestioned #1 beneficiary of these changes. #2 is a tossup between Rainbow Dash and Wind Rider, who will probably end up having his character tag applied the story.
Looking forward to the remastered version. This should be fun, possibly in the Dwarf Fortress sense.

If anything, I'm kind of relieved I don't need to reread everything to remember what happened, or else power through new chapters playing hardball catchup. A remastered version sounds exciting, especially knowing that the whole thing is already done. That means we're getting a Novel fully combed through and polished with setups and callbacks and all that sweet stuff you can't do when writing on the seat of your pants.
(I guess that also means I should chow down on my smaller RILs because I'm clearly not going to have time for them next month)

I’m very glad to hear your feedback about the release plan! I hope it will prove to be worth the wait. Though at a minimum, it will at least not languish in Incomplete status forever.
