    Where I'm at now.

I couldn't tell you why I still have a FIMFiction tab open on my browser, and I can't even tell you the last time I clicked onto it. I think it's realistic that posting this is the last major activity I'll grant the site.

    Ten years today.

According to the info blurb beside my name, this is the ten-year anniversary of this account. And to think, this all started with me doing self-insert riffs on bad MLP fiction. And now I've got two finished stories under my belt, a crossover atrophying in a forgotten corner, and two other projects completely pony-unrelated I've finally put some words down for*. And also the last vestiges of my

    F/F/T3K19 THE SORTA FINAL

Last month's riff is complete. Enjoy.

This month, we're finally, finally finishing that riff of a riff we started god knows how long ago. We've spliced in a tiny Christmas story in there too.

F/F/T3K19 10/4: When the pasta is creepy.

Alright, we didn't exactly intend to slow down quite this much quite yet, but that's how we're gonna roll now. Here's last month's riff.

It's SPOOKY how close they got to my Inkie/Marble and Blinkie/Limestone headcanons.

This episode isn't going to kill the names the fandom's engraved in me. Sure, I'll relent for Bulk Biceps and CONDITIONALLY for Sweetie Drops, but unless I'm writing something that needs them and tethers itself to canon, it's Inkie, Blinkie, and Clyde and Sue. And Maud. Oh, and Colgate trumps Minuette.

Let me get this out if the way because now it's obligatory: I am biased automatically towards Pinkie Pie episodes. As such, I was THRILLED to finally see the rock farm and the rest of the family properly in a modern setting. Other than Igneous and Cloudy's old modern English getting kind of annoying, they were very entertaining. Also, Maud's interactions with Apple Bloom were really nice, and Marble and Mac together are adorable.

And Maud singing. Voice of a goddamn angel.

Overall, though, I think this one felt a bit average. Seeing the Pies in the present day was really cool, and I liked their interactions with the Apples, but the story itself felt kind of clunky and heavy-handed. It didn't really feel natural in its structure and presentation, especially not once moral time came around. I'm sad to say it, but this is one of my least favorites of the season.

Well, now that the Christmas episode's out of the way, we can get to the Halloween episode because that's how it works. Next week will be the previously leaked "Scare Master," which I did NOT watch yet, so you'll have to wait until it airs to hear my thoughts.

I made the same decision with Scare Master.

I watched "Scare Master" early because I am a monster who walks like a man. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Maud Pie is a sweetheart. We need more Maud in our lives.
