Baby Got Back · 2:51pm Jul 30th, 2019
This is it, folks! I'm flying out to BronyCon on Thursday, and I look forward to meeting many horse-peeps who I might not get to meet otherwise. I've also got my print run of Bra Quest! and Other Tales of Limestone Pie in-hand, which will be available through the BronyCon Bookstore.
I've shown you the front before, but here's the back:
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooook
That, my friends, is an all-new version of the cover art from Heavy Rock, redone by the artist in hi-res specifically for this project. It pains me that a bit of Limestone's boot got chopped off by Lulu's massive UPC code space, but you get the effect. I'm proud to present it, and I hope I don't end up lugging many copies of it back home afterward.
I'll be rooming once again with my longtime co-conspirator Moosetasm, who recently finished posting the first arc of his Darkest Dungeon crossover fic Ponest Dungeon. It's M-rated, mostly for violence; but it doesn't require you to know anything about Darkest Dungeon to pick it up and follow along with the adventure. I certainly didn't, and I helped edit the thing! Check it out and see if Prince Blueblood, Equestria's last hope against the darkness, can vanquish the Lovecraftian horrors that lurk beneath Ponyville! (Spoiler alert: there's a character death in the prologue that suggests he miiiiiiight be in over his head!)

In other Limestone news, those of you who follow Scribbler might have noticed that she did an amazing reading of Baby Limestone Rides to War a week or so back! Go check it out, and send some love her way!
Get to the gataaaaaaaaaah!
So yeah! That's all I got for now. I'm hoping to get some real traction going with any number of projects after BronyCon, but for now I'm focused on the immediate future. More than likely, I'll spend the late-summer/early-fall continung to plink away at the Limestone story that I'm releasing a couple chapters of in the book, then start gearing up to hit Sunset Rising good and hard during NaNoWriMo.
See you at the con!
And now I'm imagining Limestone's reaction to someone dropping an enormous bar code on her foot. I can't imagine any of the resulting outburst would be printable.
One girl, two cups?
I look forward to acquiring a copy for my nightstand/horsefiction-shelf!
Hopefully Arc 2 takes less time to write.

Looking forward to it!

This just made me realize that I tend to write her with a penchant for profuse cursing when presented with physical pain. And ordinarily she wouldn’t curse, even though she’s otherwise content to give it to people with both barrels.
Is it bad that realizing this immediately brings to mind a scene of Flash Sentry doing his damnedest to survive Limestone giving birth to their hypothetical future child? Or does that just mean I’ve gone full shipper (never go full shipper)?

That’s brilliant. How did I not think of that earlier?!

It is an excellent companion to your existing books, or the perfect way to start a horsewords collection! Tell a friend! Buy twelve of them!

It's funny. You say that and my mind goes to how I've been slowly shipping Flash and human Derpy. Which means there's one scenario where two girls with truly terrifying capacity for collateral damage are fighting over him. And then Best Human says the only thing that could make it worse...
"Let's settle this like ponies!"

Puhleeze, we all know Limestone would be the only one fighting. Best human would be doing the drunken master routine of stumbling her way to victory. Meanwhile, Limestone would be doing the whole “longer Limestone fight, stronger Limestone become!” routine. It might even get so that we require Flash!
Ah-Aaaah!
To step in and save the universe!
Flash!
Ah-Aaaah!
Going to save every one of us!
hope you have fun there

I don’t think the world (or its insurance industry) is ready for Derpy and Limestone to fight each other over Flash’s affections.
But dang if that isn’t a delicious idea!
