Well, this was okay. I enjoyed it. So cringe-worthy, but not really bad. I think the central message for the episode, on how to cope with achieving your dream and not quite being able to get things the way you want it shouldn't hinder you from making the best of it all, is rather positive and helpful. Also, quite a bit of fun here. To the rapid-fire thoughts!
One of my problems with FIM as it is now is Equestria itself. As much as I hate to echo the sentiments of a certain infamous author here, I do feel that the show has suffered from the shift in how it's presented Equestria as a setting; in Season 1 in particular, it came off as more of an ambiguous fantasy world with a few unique locations and ill-defined geography. I've never really looked at my own body of work and tried to suss out a general theme. As far as I know, I don't really have an identity as far as what I write, at best having one for how I write. It has been a while since I put out one of these, but I’ve been reading up a storm in the last few days and decided to stop being lazy and start writing reviews again. I’ve got about half of another review set done at this point as well, so hopefully I’ll have more soon. Possibly even some stories, as I have a couple which are presently in editing stages.
But enough of the future, it is time for the recent past!

In a sudden fit of productivity, I decided that it was time for me to actually finish a story yesterday and post it. It won sixth place in the last write-off, out of more than fifty entrants, and was within just a few fractions of a point of second place. I thought it was a bit unlike what I usually write - a metafic comedy, referencing the recent stories about fatal teleportation, Saturdays, and various other silly things - but Bradel thought it was in line with The Stars Ascendant in

Just got a review for one of my MLP stories I put on fanfiction.net.
I mean it is nice to see a review rival the length of my story. But the lengthy review really boiled down to something like you did okay but Maud in my opinion is kind of mean to Pinkie now in season six and seven so I the reader wanted to say how you didn't take that into account. Also it was fine but okay.
This is a pretty eclectic set of stories. Two from the featured story box, two from Present Perfect’s recommendation, and one, a crossover written by an author I follow. And no less than two stories with the Random tag.

It's like we've been on a decline of porn for Fathers and Mothers Day since 2013 or something. Anyhow, we need more, so more should be delivered.
Also, I didn't see the new episode, but I haven't heard good things so I suppose it's better that I didn't. But at least the cute Marge Gunderson pony made me watch Fargo, and that was great! Marge really is a fantastic character and I wish there were more characters like her in fiction. Also, Marge pony is super cute, yah.

Shub-Cadurath and Catastrophe. One is a story about a horrible monstrosity from beyond the veil of reality that reduces ponies to gibbering masses. The other story is about Princess Cadance giving birth to Princess Flurry Heart.
This was a rather eclectic set of stories; from a story with tiny cover art to a story about edible ears to a story about nursing, folks come up with some of the strangest things these days.
As mentioned in my blog, the FlutterDash group ran a contest, challenging folks to write a FlutterDash story for a $60 prize.
We got 19 entries. 19!
Apparently people think they’re adorable together. Or at least make a good pair of friends, as a good number of the stories ultimately ended up being more about their friendship than them nuzzling.
It's been almost a full year since I've actually written new content for Pony-Me. That chapter published back in August was the very last chapter I had in my little stash of chapters that I originally intended to have serve as a buffer zone between moments when I'd be unable to write for whatever reason.
Haha, who could've known that they'd be the only chapters I'd write for a long, long time.
