The funniest thing is that I don't even remember her original name.
I had played and loved XCOM: Enemy Unknown and decided to return and play with the Long War mod. Long War, if you're unfamiliar, turns an already challenging squad based tactical game into an absolute nightmare.
Celestia and Luna sit in rule together now over the fledgeling kingdom. It stands alone--the chaos and calamity of this century of strife have left it standing where others have fallen. The Crystal Empire is gone. The Zebraharan Empire shattering. The old powers of ponydom all are crumbling masonry or ash.
But Discord is gone. No one has seen a Windigo in fifty years. With the end of the strife comes a timid but beautiful spring, and perhaps the promise of a new beginning for all of us.

Greetings, brethren and sosteren*! We come to draw your attention to the Featured Box, for it contains what may become the defining story of our age in the fandom. A champion has risen, friends. One who would challenge the reign of Lunacy in sorrow and truth-telling. One who would give us Luna's tale as it is, and not as the false scribes would have us believe.
News first. I am trying to write. My life has been tumultuous and unhappy. It has made writing not a very appetizing thing and I frankly haven't written a word in like, a week? Almost. But I'm trying tonight. I have a story idea with Luna that is 1/4 done that I think will restart my writing in general. Frankly, writing has gotten harder and harder for me since "Nothing is Constant".
One of the best things I ever did involving ponies was run a tabletop RPG over Skype for, like, ever. It was mildly a big deal. Kitsune Risu was there, even, so you know it was a super huge amazing bash of awesome. But I had a blast running that game and writing letters as Luna and generally just enjoying the hell out of the setting. A lot of things that ended up in Night started out life as ideas for that game, or at least first were used there as a sort of test run. Jannah, the

And I always respect the grayer side of existence. It proves very satisfying to write about, even if some of my work deals with joy and laughter too. Well, one has to appreciate the entire spectrum.

From what I gathered, Cynewulf has been put in a financial pinch after being laid off from work without warning. Monochromatic is going to be holding a fundraiser for Cynewulf on their Twitch channel, and hopefully me doing a little signal boost can help them out where I can.
