Sweetie Belle has a crush on her best friend, and when she directs a school play staring Scootaloo as the heroine her world quickly comes crashing down around her.

So I once told a pre-reader of mine that I didn't write ship fics. Ooops.

This story was blatantly inspired by The plays the thing, but it's okay because the author of that fic HMXTaylorLee graciously agreed to pre-read and edit this for me anyway, so go check that out. Also thanks to Alovelylittlecomplex for (again?!) fixing my comma issues.

Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle have been friends since they first met in school. For awhile now Scootaloo has been trying to figure out her feelings for the Unicorn, and after the "Secret Admirer" incident on Hearts and Hooves Day, she decides to take action and hope for the best.

Set after the events of "The Break Up Break Down" and has some minor spoilers for it. You have been warned.

It's hard when you're alone. It's harder when you're alone and constantly picked on. Scootaloo's lost all faith in ponykind. A dark and troubled past drives her to the most extreme of measures.

The first fanfic I've felt confident enough to submit. I would appreciate if you could point out any spelling or grammatical mistakes. There may be a few (I often write late at night), but hopefully not many. If you do plan to leave criticism, the constructive kind is appreciated. If you don't like this kind of story, don't comment. Chapters marked with a ~ are flashback chapters. These are not essential to the story, but are there to clarify certain things that people are bugging me about. You can just read all of the non-marked chapters and still get the full story in the modern setting, but if something's not quite clear to you then reading the flashback chapters will hopefully clear that up. (If not, let me know in a nice way. Don't be rude!)

After trying her best to avoid it, Scootaloo is reluctantly convinced to accompany Sweetie Belle to their school graduation party. As the night goes on, things feel like they're going form bad to worse for the young pegasus. To Sweetie Belle however, it seems the event is a little more important, and in the end Scootaloo comes to realise that there's a lot more to Sweetie Belle's reasons, a whole lot more than the unicorn is telling her.

Scootaloo and Sweetie are best friends, but they've found themselves acting more and more like a couple lately. There's no way it has something to do with the mysterious potion they just drank... is there? And if there is, what does that mean for them?

The events of this story take place before those of the episode "Crusaders of the Lost Mark", so they don't have their cutie marks, and aren't friends with Diamond Tiara or Silver Spoon.

This story is a sequel to Unexpected

Its been a couple of years now since Scootaloo gave birth to her daughter Storm Chaser. She and her friends have just graduated from high school and she and Sweetie Belle are getting ready for their upcoming wedding, all is pretty good all things considered.

But when an unexpected face from Rainbow Dash's past shows up at their house, the Dash family has to figure out what this is going to mean for their future. Can they move forward and will everything be okay?

Scootaloo works up her courage and during class when everypony else is having a massive bathroom break, she asks Sweetie Belle out on a date. Now, it's all up to this first date to see if Scootaloo can finally have Sweetie Belle as her mare-friend.

They are mare age (or high school age) in this story.
