As the Princess' personal protege, Twilight Sparkle is expected to, one day, take on a role of great leadership in the country of Equestria. However, Twilght makes a discovery that places a fork in her path. Will Twilight repress part of herself to become a leader to her people, or will she choose to answer the call of her heart?

It's springtime in Equestria and Twilight Sparkle and Princess Celestia find themselves out of sorts despite the gorgeous weather. Luna and Rarity both think they know the reason behind their moodiness and set out to make sure that true love blossoms - but will an unfortunate misunderstanding keep the two star-crossed lovers apart forever?

Twilight Sparkle is whisked away to the utopian city of Canterlot, where she has been invited to participate in the legendary Aura Bloom magic competition. While there, she runs into an old nemesis.

After failing to stop Nightmare Moon in the ancient castle of the pony sisters, Twilight Sparkle is left with a scar that will permanently change the rest of her natural born life. As Twilight recovers from her ordeal, she finds that she is left with a difficult choice. Either live her life as a lie or sacrifice her innocence to protect the ones she loves. The path before her is set and she must now walk it alone. The sands of time continues ever onward, with everyone already trapped in its muddy depths. The sun will rise and the sun will fall. Waiting for its call, Death awaits for all.

Immortality can at times be a double edged sword. Celestia recalls past memories of the students she had cared for dearly from the times since she banished Nightmare Moon to the present. Now that Luna has returned, Celestia recites these stores to her sister which in turn offers her comfort and tranquility
