Discord and Celestia were once something, but not anymore. Too many things have happened...
Now, she was the weakest she had ever been, the shell of her once regal self.
But a warning from a piece of stone has plunged her into a world she had half-heartedly left behind. A world filled with happiness.

Six months before the wedding of Cadence and Shining Armor, Spike meets the queen by chance. Taken aback by her quirks, Spike tries his best to become friends with her, to some success.
However, all things, good or bad, must come to an end, and Chrysalis's eventual actions at the wedding make that clear.

Spike has, in his hands, the ability to redeem this seemingly evil queen. Because... maybe she isn't as evil as everyone thought.

(Reluctantly toting the OC tag because of Chrysalis's disguise, and because of the fact that there will eventually be a true OC designed to help push the story along. AKA I didn't write the story around the OC, I wrote the OC around the story. I'm really paranoid about this pushing away potential readers, if you can't tell. ^^;)

Laid low by circumstances beyond control, trapped in a cruel and unrelenting prison of flesh made stone, can anypony hold out hope to see the day once more? If you're afraid of Dark tones, or find them distasteful, or can get stabbed easily in the feels, I suggest reading on only with caution. This is not a happy tale.

As Discord has figured out the hard way, taking over the world is no easy feat. So when he gets another chance for a fresh start, why not take it? Those were his thoughts as he transported himself to a place called Earth. But in this universe, he may find that he's bitten off more than he can chew.

Celestia has more than a few skeletons in the closet, but most of them don't sneak up to bite her in the plot. Now she needs somepony who can help her, somepony powerful. Somepony she can trust.

Martyr an Ex-Caravan Guard/Ex-Raider finds out his lineage traces back to an old tribe of ponies who existed before Equestrias Install.

Martyr begins his adventure across the wasteland as a raider with a small pocket of friends who help him through his endeavors of basic Wasteland life.
As time continues things get complicated, and his friends begin dying around him during peculiar occurrences
He must break the curse set upon his blood line those thousands of years ago by traveling through Equestria and into the nuclear winter wasteland that had become the old home of the three tribes and find the Temple of the Timelords and free himself from the burden it carries.

Chrysalis was broken and defeated. Had she not come across a loving mother and child, she would be dead. But she need to feed, and thus an idea struck her.

(This is a tie in with both Resistance: Equestria and Chaotica.)

Spike comes across Chrysalis after the events of the Royal Wedding, and shows pity on her from seeing the state of her, and her hive. However, she must still work to garner his trust before he will show enough emotion towards her to sustain her. He visits her in secret, and as the years pass, she accrues his trust.

Although more than just trust begins to develop. . .

NOTE: Weird shipping is weird, but it will pose an interesting challenge. Who knows, maybe this will blossom into more than a simple one-shot/short story.
