The darkness. The voices. They're speaking to her. They're telling her to come closer. The voices echo through her mind, in one ear and out the other. A harmony of darkness. Everything is dark, and where does one go without the light?

Pinkie Pie is alone, and scared, and trapped. She sees no option but to heed the voices, and travel into the dark.

At first it was just another party, but this one was always going to be special. The first chance to celebrate the anniversary of the original sonic rainboom and Pinkie was going to pull out all the stops.

But when Twilight questions how Pinkie could possibly do the things she does and begins to piece things together, she finally gets an answer. As she does, she realises that sometimes it's important to never lose sight of the pony you are.

Note - this is my first fanfic and hopefully at least someone will enjoy it. No idea if and when I'll right more, but constructive criticism is always welcome. Rated teen just for the brief allusion to alcohol.

Here's the final chapter in Pinkie Pie's story. Takes place entirely within S02E01, but I've taken the liberty of shifting the focus of the episode onto Pinkie Pie without changing any events from the show. What if Discord took advantage of the fact that Pinkie Pie loves his tricks?

(Pinkie Pie & Apple Bloom, Friendship) Pinkie Pie nearly dies in the middle of a return trip through a snowstorm in the aftermath of a bitter family reunion. Apple Bloom is thrown into a depression after a morale-shattering revelation concerning the nature of Cutie Marks. Both of them end up using their respective stories to share a moment between each other while Pinkie Pie is recovering from hypothermia.

Pinkie Pie loves her family: her mom, her dad, her sisters, and her grandmothers. She loves them to death, but one day Inkie and Blinkie come by to deliver some heartwrenching news, she's adopted.

Now Pinkie goes off with her sisters to find her real parents and to answer an age old question, is it blood that makes a family, or is it love that matters in what is a family.

While on an errand in the woods, Pinkie Pie becomes seriously injured, much to Fluttershy's horror.

Alone and terrified, Fluttershy must now overcome her fear and bring Ponyville's premier party planner back in one piece.

The stakes only get higher when she learns that Pinkie has fallen for her.
