After seeing Luna at the Nightmare Night festival in Ponyville, one pony's dreams become haunted by nightmares of her banishment. His efforts to overcome these nightmares, and the overzealous help of a young dragon, cause him to be summoned before the two celestial sisters. From them, he learns that Luna's stay on the moon was not a punishment, but a sacrifice to protect all of Equestria.

Princess Luna is back! Purified by the elements, restored to her proper self, and reunited with her sister, the younger alicorn tries to stabilize herself in an Equestria that is not how it once was.

Back in the Royal Saddle: Luna's first act as returning Princess is to choose the two lucky stallions who will act as her personal guard.

A Week With a Loon: Luna takes over control of Canterlot, so that her dear sister may take a vacation.

Balanced: Luna takes on young Twilight Sparkle as her student.

Of Night Light's and Sound Waves: Luna is "persuaded" to go out at night and explore Canterlot.

Why wasn't Luna at the Grand Galloping Gala? Because she didn't want to be there, of course! But not attending has its own consequences, and now Luna's expected to throw a party for Twilight and her friends. With Pinkie Pie's help, can the Princess pull it off?

In the wake of her failed assault on Canterlot, Chrysalis is left stuck in the desert to brood on her failures. Angry and bitter, she reflects back on the events that led to her becoming the Changeling Queen.
