Sometimes, a mare just needs to climb a tree and stay there for hours and hours and hours on end. Octavia does not find this amusing, however. On the eve of her big audition for the Royal Canterlot Symphony, she needs her sleep. Unfortunately for her, Vinyl has the keys to their apartment, and she just won't get down from her darned tree.

It's going to be an interesting night... But maybe not for the reasons Octavia suspects.

Short, silly Octascratch wherein Vinyl Scratch comes home to Octavia in an awesome vampire cape. Has Vinyl become a terrifying creature of dark passions? Will Octavia be amused? (Spoilers: no.) Is there a twist where it's not Vinyl who's the vampire but Octavia instead? (Spoiler: also no.) Or perhaps Vinyl has simply been reading way too many vampire novels recently? (Spoiler: it's that one!)

Have you ever thought you knew somepony so well you thought you knew everything about them? How would you feel if you found out something very surprising that you never would have guess about them? Octavia has such a moment about Vinyl.

Octavia, eldest and most responsible of her two sisters, decides that for this summer she wasn't going to watch Derpy and Vinyl lay around playing video games and eating muffins all day. No, it was time they grew up a little, and experienced the rewards of having a job. Unfortunately, her sisters can't do anything without making a mess of it.

(My first MLP fanfiction! I hope everybody enjoys!) For the 30minuteponies page, Prompt #204: Vinyl Scratch is missing something in her work, something she can't seem to grasp...because let's face it, she's the best musician in Ponyville! But after being led off on a dramatic *or just a five minute* adventure towards a beautiful singing voice, Vinyl Scratch may have just found her missing piece. (NOT a Vinyl Scratch Romance One-shot, everybody relax!)

Octavia is looking for a new home in Ponyville and decides to check out Vinyl's available space. Of course, she would happen to come to town right when a major storm's about to hit, and that storm would drop a whole tree on Vinyl's home. Seeing their situation, Fluttershy kindly offers them shelter.

That might not have been the best solution. Can Fluttershy help these two musicians get along, or is a new storm about to form inside her cottage?

Takes place at the same time as the Season 1 Episode, Look Before You Sleep.

Miss Cheerilee informs Applejack that she never passed elementary mathematics. Since every pony in Equestria is legally required to understand rudimentary math, Applejack must retake and pass a basic exam in order to avoid going back to school.

Sounds simple enough, right?

In times past, ponies would keep their fillies from being bad by telling them that if they didn't behave, Nightmare Moon would come back and get them. Of course, Nightmare Moon hasn't been back since the Elements of Harmony defeated her in Celestia's presence.

Twilight has had dreams of Nightmare Moon's return since her defeat, but she never thought they would actually come true. Then one day, she receives a rather odd visitor... And the chain of events to follow threatens to tear asunder everything that she holds dear.

(Takes place after A Canterlot Wedding. Also disregards events in the MLP graphic novels.)
