Drakkar, a pony from the Frozen North, is sent to Equestria to update the maps they have in Scandineighvia. Once he arrives to Ponyville, though, he finds out that there's a descendant of one of his townfolks living there.

It was a surprise that Dash offered a kiss as a prize at the charity auction. It was a surprise that the colts were as "enthusiastic" as they were. It was a surprise that Dash didn't leap on the colts and beat them for their comments.

But, the biggest surprise of all was which one of her friends bid on her kiss... and why.

Civil war broke out in Equestria a few months ago. This means that there's a whole new sector of the economy catering to soldiers and their needs. Factories are mass-producing weapons and armor, alcohol sales are up, and even the brothels are seeing increased profits
Browning Vineyard runs the Off-Duty Bar and Grill, a popular spot for the Joint Special Forces unit stationed at Fort Jack. He's seen a lot of beat-up soldiers walk through his doors, and he hasn't heard a lot of happy stories from them. Soldiers are becoming the rule rather than the exception.
Which only makes tonight's visitor all the more confusing...

Time rolls on, the years and seasons cycling along as things go along. Ponies and the planet age along with that passage. And the Black Knight-Errant Bad Apple is not immune to this movement. Perhaps in all the world, he feels it most keenly of all. The grand timekeeper's watch ticks off "like horrible hammer-blows" (in the words of Wilde.) It is either the end, or the beginning of something great.

I've always fancied myself as a bit of a storyteller. Anything can be considered a story with the proper execution and a bit of thought. Today though? I have a special story to tell you.

As she prepares to lift the sun to its apex, to usher in the solstice and bring the Summer Sun Celebration to its climax once more, Princess Celestia embraces the vision of the Equestrian summer that it places before her.

In the vision the summer she is birthing plays out around her, and as a happy phantom she walks through the summer stories of the lives of Twilight, Spike, the other bearers of the Elements of Harmony, their families and loved ones, and even her own sister, Luna. As she does so, she thinks on this world, her role in it...and the gift she's given it.

Everypony knows the stories of Twilight Sparkle's adventures with the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony. Their heroism in cleansing Princess Luna of the Nightmare, their courage in facing Discord and his anarchy, their resolve to help Ponyville face its many disasters. What everypony doesn't know is that none of those stories ever happened.

This is Big Macintosh's story. And it is true.

Button Mash has been into gaming ever since he first got that Joyboy. When he plays a particularly adrenaline filled game, he gets so engrossed in the experience that he feels the need to ask his mother about how games used to be.
