It can be taken for granted that being a Wonderbolt is crazy tough work. Coming home from wing-breaking work and having to deal with an excessively snarky fancolt certainly doesn't help matters.

Then again, there are circumstances that make staying at home all day an even more arduous task. Depending on who you're asking, Quibble Pants might have one of them.

Dialogue-only story. As far as i can tell, this isn't forbidden by FimFic rules, and I wanted to try something (slightly) different.

Spoiler Alert/Squick Warning: if the idea of MPreg grosses you out, you might want to stay away. Hopefully you're a tolerant enough soul that you're willing to read this story without checking the spoiler, though.

Pegasi aren't the only intelligent species which can fly, and the Wonderbolts recognize that. There is no racial restriction placed on the open tryout sessions and over the centuries, the team has had a few unusual members. They have proven methods of working with griffons, self-levitating unicorns -- anything known to get in the air might find their place.

However, it's probably safe to say nopony was expecting a minotaur-sized duck.

After being beaten in a race, Soarin now has to buy Rainbow Dash dinner. He decides to take her to dinner in the sky.

Soarin goes to ask Rainbow Dash to accompany him for a small flight in the skies of Equestria

"You know... I am a fool. Some blinding fool flying around, pretending not to stop for anyone. Tough ponies like me can't be affectionate. I can't give in to feelings, and I can't say them out loud. But you know... You too are a fool. Acting as if you never needed anypony. So, we are both stupid."

That'd be all fine and dandy for Rainbow Dash, but Soarin' isn't making things any better for himself when he keeps uttering the same word that annoys Rainbow to no end.
