This story follows Luna through her foalhood in the strange world, her quest for knowledge about who and what she is, and what happens when she finally finds her answers and makes the trip to the beautiful new world that her sister now rules.

After a budget cut, Cheerilee is replaced by a younger and stricter teacher. Cheerilee searches for a new job in Ponyville while her students deal with the new teacher. However, everything is not what it seems. Can Cheerilee use her vast knowledge to save her students and Ponyville?

Twilight finds her new job as slave or "personal assistant" to her new ruler to be a bit maddening. But is this evil sarcastic queen really as bad as she originally believed? And just how many others are diabolical enough to cash in on the change in staff? Can Nightmare truly run a peaceful Equestria? A minor accident at Sweet Apple Acres sends Big Macintosh to Ponyville in the middle of applebuck season. At first, things seem fine. But then some of the mares begin acting a little...oddly.

Then very oddly. Turns out every other stallion skipped town for a very good reason.

Unable to return to Ponyville after the Gala due to the spell on their carriage wearing off, and it being too late at night for anyone of them to pull it, Twilight and her friends end up having a slumber party with Luna, thanks to Celestia. This bit of information thrills Luna, who apparently enjoyed the destruction of the Gala. This is going to go very well, or very badly. Or just very strangely. Whichever happens first.

During the one thousand years of solitude Luna has spent on the moon, she has become extremely attached to both the moon and her pair of pink fuzzy socks. Celestia sends a lonely and pessimistic Luna to Ponyville in the hopes that she will make some friends, and with a bit of luck, get rid of her socks as well.

This was my submission to Equestria Daily's "Happy Luna's Super Magically Fun Storytime Adventure Challenge," and was labeled as "Goodbye to Socks." I finished it right before the deadline, giving me no time to get it edited, or give it a good title and description. Therefore, it got 38th place. I knew it could have been better; consequently, I edited it, slightly modified the title, and posted it here.

After a 1000-year condemnation on the moon, Luna has rehabilitated her position as Princess of the night. Princess Celestia is glad to see the connection between Luna and the night harmonized as well as the connection they share themselves. But there is another bond that Luna must take initiative on: socialization

A slumber party is a decision Luna makes on her endeavor, so are the six equines as special guests. With aid from Celestia, Luna just might make her first step.

This isn't necessarily my first attempted fanfic, but it's my first completed one. I hope you readers will enjoy; criticism is appreciated.
