After the mishap of the Grand Galloping Gala, Octavia Pie's Prestigious Classical Career came to a screeching halt as the disgruntled party planner fired her for her mistaken playful participation in the Pony Pokey. Feeling down and angry, Octavia can only look to the future and hope to salvage what's left of her reputation, and with a surprise opportunity, she plans on presenting Equestria with a masterpiece. The road to find inspiration is a long an arduous one, but one can only dream of the gifts and realizations that lie at the end.

A pony is the collection of her experiences. But what if those experiences never occurred? As Pinkie's reality falls apart and gives way to a much less party-filled world, she will have to ask herself: Who was I, who am I, and who should I be?

Twilight couldn't be happier for her friends. Rainbow Dash and Applejack have gotten together after their mishap in the Everfree Forest. Big Macintosh and Fluttershy have finally hit it off. And even her new friend Octavia has even found love with Vinyl Scratch! The only exclusions are Pinkie and Rarity, who are too preoccupied with parties or dresses to even care!

But...what about her? What about Twilight...who feels as if she's missing out?

There's little she can do about it for right now though, as Princess Luna herself has requested she help deal with a problem in Manehatten. Somepony has been causing serious trouble in the city that never sleeps, and Twilight isn't going to believe who's behind it all!

Can she let go of the past, look past the facade, and see a pony who's hurt, broken, and afraid?

Can she save a mare who everypony has deemed a 'Phony', a 'Failure', and a 'Dead End of Life'?

Will she hear the cries of help from a mare she thought she knew...and take a Leap of Faith?

Celestia and Luna were born as unassuming foals in troubled times. But already marked for greatness, the simple earth ponies stand to face a world set against them, full of danger, fear, and sadness. A world they will change forever.

A sweeping epic taking place before Equestria was made, where Celestia and Luna must rise from normal foals to become the Princesses we know them as, beset from all sides by monsters, other ponies, and even the forces that govern nature. Their tale is as tragic as it is triumphant.

Pinkie Pie comes to Rainbow Dash with shocking news; the world is going to end, and they have a million things to do before it does. Although Rainbow Dash agrees to play along, she obviously doesn't take her seriously... but as the day goes by, the true meaning of Pinkie's warning becomes clear.

Octavia is a high-class pony. Fine alcohol is her wont, and uncouthness her intense chagrin. Such is her surprise to find herself lumbered with an insufferable oaf of a DJ pony. However, sometimes these situations work themselves into a satisfactory ultimatum all the same.

Not all ponies prefer the day to the night. Twilight and Luna are creatures of the night, and for ponies like them, love is best found under starlight.

Note: This fic is terrible and only kept for historical purposes. It is vapid and poorly written. It was the first fanfic I ever wrote, back on Valentine's Day of 2011. Humble beginnings and all that.

this is not my normal thing for writing. I don't write Shipping its not who I am, I was just in a group who had a contest. I didn't choose the topic and I rushed to write the fic because I wanted to see what I could write when I just write and not stop. If you want to see a thought out Fan Fic that I've read Go read the Story of Stardust. It takes me a week to plan and write a chapter and then it takes a couple of days to edit. This story was Written on a whim and nothing more.
Twilight is determined to spend time with Princess Celestia at the Grand Galloping Gala but when Celestia has to go do some royal business, Twilight has to spend time with another Princess. takes place during the events of Episode 26.

It also happened to be the inspiration for this tale.
I don't know if the story alone is good enough, but I'm sure this should enhance it.

I'm only marking the characters who make a significant impact on the story. Yes, Celestia isn't in there, but she's the cornerstone of this story.

Anyway, this is a one-off thing. I just found inspiration to write it, and I wrote it in about two hours. I'll even admit: I cried myself as I wrote it.

ZULU 0941 24 DEC 2011: After mulling it over for a while, and taking ideas from multiple users (as well as my own - I don't just steal others' ideas, you know), I've decided that I can continue this, and at some point I hopefully will. However, I've put it "On Hiatus" so it's easy to see when I do continue it. I reckon I'll get two or three other things out of the way first, and I need time to come up with more to it.
