One day Fluttershy went out to the market and purchased a painting, a beautiful painting. She also has been doing alot of thinking lately, so much to the point of drifting away ever-so-often. And somehow, it seems that since she bought that painting, her grasp of reality has been altered. Disclaimer: there are alot of things going on in this one, not at the cost of bad pacing, but you need to keep in mind pretty much every detail and demane.

The picture is just a pretty picture of Fluttershy i found on google images, it does not relate to the story what-so-ever. (well, maybe the atmosphere but... meh)

There is treachery beyond compare within Equestria. A shocking truth. A web of lies. Friendships strained. The return of old enemies. And a pony who is changing face.

When things didn't turn out how Twilight expected them to be, she eventually got caught in Nightmare Moon's trap. Now with Nightmare Moon out threatening the peace of Equestria, and Twilight shifted to the dark side as Nightmare's second-in-command, how would the rest of the Mane 6 save the world?

A bizarre vortex has taken shape over the Everfree and strange ponies are appearing throughout it's confines. In the eyes of the public the ponies seem completely normal, they walk, talk, and eat just like the rest of us. But something about their visions they claim to have had before awaking is...offsetting, not to mention the fact that they just seem to appear out of thin air.

More concerned with the sudden appearances than their friends, Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Fluttershy and Angel Bunny must find out why these mysterious ponies are appearing and where they're coming from, risking it all in a quest for the truth.

Unfortunately the truth isn't always meant to be uncovered, and the Everfree is determined to prevent it from surfacing.

Ponyville is shaken to its core when a body is discovered in the Everfree Forest. As the townsponies grieve, the mysterious Special Agent Bentgrass from Their Majesties' Royal Investigative Service arrives at the Books and Branches library and drags Twilight into a world she's only read about: lies, corruption, suspicion, and murder.

Faced with an indifferent police force, and Agent Bentgrass's infuriating methods, Twilight must put the pieces together and catch the killer. But as blood continues to spill and questions pile up, one thing is terrifyingly clear: in the dark of the Everfree, much more is at play than mere murder.

In the aftermath of the wedding, Spike is bitter and avoiding everyone. Twilight's determined to find out what's bothering her charge, but she walks a very fine line when dealing with an emotionally distraught child.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash suspects something's wrong with Scootaloo, so she starts spending more time with her in hopes of picking the secret from her brain. As she begins to truly mentor the young filly for the first time ever, she begins to see the advantages to having a little sister.

And while all this is going on, Pinkie is struggling with some old family issues that have been brought to the surface, meaning she might have to confront her past at last.
