No pony is the same after witnessing a work-related death, no matter who they are. The victim was young, eager, fresh-faced, and recently hired. In his last breaths, he let out a scream so heart-rending that the employees who heard it had difficulty sleeping that night. And Rainbow Dash was no exception.

But she's not losing sleep over that. What disturbs her is something far worse—something she said afterwards.

Fame. Money. Power. These are all things every pony wants when they grow up. Prosecutor Silver Tongue has ascended out of the 99% to become one of the wealthiest ponies in Manehatten, but he quickly realizes that he has sacrificed too much to get as far as he has. He decides to move his family to Ponyville and see if the magic of friendship can help him claim his old self back and bring happiness back into his familys' life.

Testimonies of nurses indicate that subject had exhibited unusual reticent behavior during the course of the week. The room had a bed, a small closet, and a writing desk. An empty locket was found in the middle drawer of the desk. Subject had left a partially burnt manuscript under the bed, a typewritten copy of which was attached to the corresponding folder after being examined by Dr. Cracker herself (refer to File I-19). Based on a thorough reading of said manuscript, she suggested that subject might suffer from DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), although he had been initially institutionalized for paranoid schizophrenia. Relatives have been informed of the situation. Patrols are on the lookout. Search for subject will intensify if he does not turn up in the next forty-eight (48) hours.

This story is a sequel to The Rainbow's Surprise

On the day of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash's wedding, Princess Celestia left Twilight a message saying that she should prepare herself if something happens. The next morning, Twilight awakens to find that all of Ponyville has succumb to a blinding fog. She must now travel a monster-filled town in search for her teacher and friends and try to return Ponyville back to the way it was.

They call them vagabonds. Rogues. Criminals, corrupted to their very core. They are perceived to be poison in peaceful society and rightly cast out. Scarce are these dark cases in the golden light of Equestria's civilized culture. However, not all ponies born with gifts of malice in their souls have the desire to use them for evil ends. These rare few who are condemned to exile simply for fear that they might one day break and embrace their grim talents, are given a choice by a princess wrought with compassion.

Forever apart from society at large, they live a secret, dangerous and disciplined life defending the country that doubted their hearts. Armed with forbidden technology and the love of their monarchs, they thrive with the freedom to embrace their true selves in service to an Equestria that will never know them.
