Cloudsdale was at its peak of production, from rainbows to clouds and snowflakes and every shade of weather between. However, in the midst of their finest hour, the factory producing rainbows explodes, and with it, the other factories. Many pegasi were injured in the explosion, even the Wonderbolts won't fly for a long time after this. What will become of Cloudsdale, is far too terrifying to imagine.

The story is told in the point of view of Nurse Redheart, as she investigates the not-so-normal-for-an-explosion-injuries. Mysterious, fresh injuries on pegasus ponies continue to appear, even as they are hospitalized.

Sometimes you just can't take it anymore, like when your parents are dead and the only other person you have falls deathly ill, and you have nobody that cares about you. Daniel was contemplating the thought of ending his own life, but, thanks to the kindness of a certain pegasus, he learns that you can be happy, no matter what the circumstances may be.

NOTICE: Equestria and Fluttershy are not included until chapter 2. Also, the rating is teen because of some sad events. (There is no sex or gore)

Queen Chrysalis has only one grub that has survived into fillyhood; her daughter, the physically lame and mentally impaired Crown Princess Pupa. Chrysalis has never been what many would call the 'maternal type', even towards Pupa, whose adoration of her mother has no bounds. Preferring to swamp herself in the dire affairs of state, Chrysalis lets her crippled daughter be raised by her affectionate nanny.

But one day, as the Changeling Kingdom's problems reach boiling point, the Queen's already short temper erupts and she must deal with the heartbreaking consequences...

Derpy is putting Dinky to sleep and proceeds to read her a story. I have always loved the stories written and illustrated by Eric Carle, so I decided to do a crossover. This story is based off of Eric Carle's Walter the Baker. After that it's episodic events when somepony reads a story to either Dinky and/or Sparkler.
