Starlight gets in an argument with Rainbow Dash on what qualifies as a Pegasus. This leads her to trying out for the Wonderbolts.

It started out as a perfectly normal day. After a picnic with all her friends, Twilight just wanted to get back into her castle. The day just got weirder.

Who doesn't like making new friends?! That's Pinkie's philosophy, one that she carries out with the utmost determination.

Gallus came back home for a summer break. Griffonstone is changing, friendship is slowly growing and with it, comes prosperity. Thanks to him, Gilda and the friends they made here, his home is no longer the worst backwater in central Griffonia. But he's not the only one who noticed this sudden change in Griffonstone, and some griffons have questions...

(Some minor Equestria at War references, like names of countries, but takes place in main MLP canon and no knowledge of EaW is required to read it).

A young Redheart finds herself as a soldier in a war she wanted to go into, facing enemies she wanted to face, together with her friends and comrades. But when all is said and done, she is happy that the rain falls on the trenches.

Long ago, the founders of Equestria built a magical portal on sacred ground, hiding their greatest secret on the other side. Generations of leaders stepped through the portal so that they might emerge as the equal of their forebears.

Celestia and Luna were the last to enter. For a thousand years, the portal lay forgotten, its purpose lost.

Luna thinks it is time that Twilight learn what it means to rule.

The spell was lifted, her friends had been sent home, and her student had learned her lesson. 

In theory, everything should be fine. At least, that’s what Twilight kept telling herself. The Fiducia Compelus episode was nothing more than a mistake, and once apologies were handed out tomorrow, everypony would be able to put it behind them. Everything was absolutely fine. 

Why, then, were there sobs coming from Starlight’s room?

Rainbow finds a trophy for a pony declared, "an honorary Wonderbolt". Curiosity getting the better of her, she asks about the pony.
She was greatly surprised to hear that, of all ponies, Derpy had gotten the honor, and respect, of the organization Rainbow idolized.

Written for The Wonderbolts Site Contest. I spent more time writing for the Sci-fi contest, with the goal of writing a one-shot for this one afterwards. In honor of it being a Speedwriting contest, I wrote it down over the course of two days and in under three hours total writing time. I hope you enjoy, and good luck to other contestants!

Princess Ember is not the biggest, strongest, or meanest dragon out there. In fact, she ranks pretty low in all three categories. Despite these disadvantages, she managed to pass her father's trials and become the Dragon Lord. Only one question remains: Now what?

While Friendship helped her win the day, it failed to give her a run-down of the intricacies of draconic politics, or lack thereof. Lucky for her, her father Torch is here to guide her down the path of a true leader. Soon, dragons across the world will be spreading the magic of friendship the best way they know how.
