In a remote corner of Equestria, the lessons writ by balefire have been forgotten. For the very same reasons zebras and ponies nearly obliterated each other, the donkeys of Kansass and the ponies of Missurrey stand ready to repeat the past. Into this simmering border war wanders a mule on her own mission.

Sunshy is a timid buck, often mistaken for a filly. He's a pegasus with strong similarities to Fluttershy. Everyone seems to think he is her reincarnation, but it seems to be a good thing. Stranded in the Everfree Forest, he finds his special talent is helping animals and healing. He has a strong affinity with the unchanged Manticores. After being named a Dashite by his own people, followed by even more tragedies, he leaves Equestria and finds himself in the land of Zebras. How much will his life change in such a harsh wasteland after the cushy life he has lived?

Ponies... ponies never change. Since the dawn of pony kind, when our ancestors first discovered the path of magic and friendship, of sunshine and rainbows, magic has flooded the world, spreading happiness to all. That all changed a few months after Princess Luna's return from her thousand year imprisonment on the moon. When she returned, something came back with her that slowly started to poison and corrupt the nature of magic, sowing threads of distrust between pony and zebra kind. Eventually, just as it had been born, the magical land of Equestria would die in the rainbow glow of magical energy. Our story, however, takes us far from the deadly wasteland to an island paradise as of yet untouched by the ravages of war. This island, a relic of the old world, has begun to take on a life of its own and is threatening to unleash its deadly secrets upon an unsuspecting world. Now it's up to small band of friends to prevent this horror from spreading; whether they like it or not, their fate has been inextricably tied to the fate of the wasteland itself.

Cloppenhagen: Once a large trade city at the south most border of Equestria. Cloppenhagen was trading with anyone who had things to trade and bits to buy, but once the war started, the trade with the Zebra lands started to stop, even if the city was still willing to trade with the foreign country. When the bombs fell, it landed outside the city, so it wasn’t irradiated, but it was still hit by the shockwave. When the ponies of Cloppenhagen emerged from the Stables in and around the City, they started rebuilding the city as best as they could; it took years, but eventually they created what was more or less a society; they even went to the Zebra lands and established trade with the remaining Zebras in an effort to help them restore their country as well as themselves. Now 2 mares from the only stable left in Cloppenhagen goes into the wasteland, to seek adventure, and maybe find grand treasures from the past.

Deadset is a pony living in a tribe deep in the wasteland. When a curse is inflicted upon him, he is thrust out into the harsh wastes, where he has to either learn to fight, or die, forever forgotten.

One day the pegasus True Hook was out fishing, then the skies opened over Equestria for the first time in 200 years. The Enclave attacks his home for some unknown reason and kills many of the inhabitants. True Hook wants two things; to know why, and to pay the Enclave back for what they took from him.
