When Twilight received a letter from Luna informing her of Princess Celestia's death, she had no idea what to expect. However, nothing could have prepared her for what followed.

Perhaps there is more to the relationship of an immortal pet and her immortal master than first meets the eye.

A thousand years is a long time for sisters to be apart. Celestia begins to feel again with a part of her heart that went numb all those night ago, but her little sister's return feels almost too good to be true. Luna may feel insecure in an Equestria different than the one she remembered but she now knows how much Celestia missed her...and how much she missed her big sister.

Princess Celestia has an idea to help tie up one of the loose ends leftover from her and Luna's friendship problem. But she's going to need Luna's help.

Princess Celestia was hoping that her reunion with her sister would come with little complication; she should have known better. Unable to sleep due to events prior, Celestia asks her sister to join her in a simple game of chess, her favorite game since before her banishment.

Being isolated on the moon for a thousand years debilitates the body; leaving Luna more vulnerable than Celestia had thought.

Three weeks after being forced into a sinister game of revenge, arranged by Queen Chrysalis, Twilight returns to confront Chrysalis one last time, only to learn that her along with her friends were not the first round of victims.

The game was never over.

Before anybody asks, yes, this is very heavily inspired by the "Saw" movie franchise. I just felt that the original story needed more of a story, so here's my attempt at adding more to the story. This takes place after the events of season 6!

Being god like and protecting everyone makes one hated.

This was a lesson Princess Celestia learned early on.

This is that lesson.

On a lonely night when Celestia can't seem to find any sleep she begins to reflect on her relationship with numbers, as well as another relationship close to her heart.

Twilight Sparkle, Master of Magic.
Luna, Mistress of the Night.
Cadance, Princess of Love.
Celestia, the Lightbringer.

Of the Four Princesses, Celestia is the one that ponies believe they know the best. After all, they've known her longer than any of the others. That's got to count for something, right?

They couldn't be more wrong.

The follow-up to Cadance the Unbroken, and the second story in the Four Princesses, Four Demons series. Reading the prior stories is not required.

Princess Celestia is, compared to the average pony, unimaginably old. With this age comes an extreme amount of experience, wisdom, and a healthy tolerance to pain. That, coupled with a protective instincts of a mother for her nation means that when Chrysalis managed to burn her, a very hard and uncompromising side of Celestia was revealed.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Celestia is ruthless. She only goes as far as she needs to.
