This is the story of how a small cult grew and rose into power over Equestria. They worship Nightmare Moon as a Goddess. They wish to ressurrect their Goddess and destroy Celestia. They see that the Elements of Harmony are the only ones who stand in their way.

Long ago, a cult of ancient ponies have been thought to have been wiped completely from the face of Equestria after a righteous last stand against the Griffon Kingdom. It was a battle of power over greed, one which the remnants of the Xave Cult made a heroic attempt in preserving for the greater good of pony kind.

Who are the Xave Cult? They are the last remaining members of an ancient tribe that were almost mislead by a mysterious power that came from an ancient artifact belonging to an even more ancient dragon king of the name Xanvire, their very pinnacle of worship and source of power.

Their cult was created by six of the now last standing members and founders whom have resided to the Bad Lands, far from the inherited lands of the populace.

With their last quest of preserving the power of the artifact and ensuring its preservation from the hands of the evil forces of the land, the remnants are tasked with finding new protectors for the cherished and mysterious power source that could, one day, vacate all evil and restore peace and harmony for once and for all.

This is their last journey.

But, while the cat's away, the mice will play. The Noble Court puts their own plan into action, threatening to throw Canterlot and Equestria into chaos. And behind it all, the mysterious Morning Star continues with his plans, which could spell the end of the world.

Rarity's quest for love led her from Tartarus to Canterlot. Now, wielding powers beyond comprehension, she rules over Equestria.

Now, if only she could understand how Fluttershy's little cult had gained thousands of members virtually overnight, or why the cult's second-in-command, Twilight Sparkle, always seems to be one step ahead of her...

Some RariTwi written for the December Crackship Contest. My prompt was "Heartless Dictator Rarity + Cult Meeting + Star Student Twilight" (and since she appears on the "Cult Meeting" card, I decided to also use "Cult Leader Fluttershy")

Cover art done by the amazing Earthsong9405 (Tumblr, DeviantArt). Given how her AUs (via Monochromatic's "The Sphinx's Riddle" and "The Princess's Choice") have warmed me up to RariTwi, I found it rather fitting to commission her to do the coverart for this RariTwi AU.

Sex tag might be overly cautious, but I prefer that over being banhammered. Nothing explicit, no smut here, it's just being mentioned/discussed, and Rarity has some short fantasies that she is quick to shove aside.

Starlight Glimmer was once the head of a cult. She used her magic to control minds, enslave ponies, and nearly destroyed all of Equestria. Such acts are unforgivable, but somehow she was forgiven by Princess Twilight, and has become her student. It is certainly more than she deserves.

While Starlight admires the grace with which Twilight forgave her, and frankly, the grace that the Princess displays in all areas of life, she has to wonder: What's her secret?

Dream Chaser invites him to her expedition for the Griffon Emperor. But what will Golden Plate and Dream Chaser find on this trip?

This story explores the ways in which unicorns perform their magic by showing how the cult exploits the science behind magic use to amplify their power. In the cult's adventures, they will clash with Twilight, Shining Armor, and Cadance, raising questions of the ethics of magic and presenting theories on the history of the unicorn horn.
