Ever since visiting the Pie farm, Big Macintosh has had rocks on his mind.

The latest episode just kind of demanded that I write this.

Sunset makes it her mission to contain the stray Equestrian magic that leaks into her new home, doing her best to minimize corruption and damage to anyone that can be harmed by it. As a powerful enemy emerges from the depths of limbo, containing it may not be an option anymore.

Now, if only Twilight wasn't so eager to toss herself into the fight, that would be great.

Applejack doesn't understand what Sunset Shimmer sees in her cousin Braeburn. But then AJ doesn't quite understand what anybody sees in anybody. Romance is nothing but trouble, she's convinced, until yet another random explosion of wild Equestrian magic helps her see the subject in a whole different light.

My entry in Oroboro's 2nd Sunset Shipping Contest, it didn't reach the top 10. The rough draft placed 13th in the 91st round of the contests at Writeoff.me, and thanks to the folks over there and to the inimitable Pascoite for comments and suggestions, both the ones I used and the ones I couldn't figure out how to make work.

Ever since they decided to give dating another shot, Sunset Shimmer and Flash Sentry have been doing well together. But Christmas Eve is here and with a night together looming, Sunset is facing some hesitations regarding the physical aspect of their relationship. She turns to her friends for help, but maybe the answer is one that only she can provide.

Worthless, weak, ugly—as far as Twilight is concerned, that's all she'll ever be. Even three months into their relationship, Twilight still refuses to believe that an absolute goddess like Sunset could ever love a loser like her. And it doesn't help that Twilight spends every night being tormented by nightmares of Midnight Sparkle, the one being who hates Twilight more than she hates herself.

Twilight can only remember a single moment in her life when she felt strong: the five minutes that she spent as Midnight Sparkle. The five minutes she spent with magic.

Now, tortured by fear, anxiety, and never-ending nightmares, Twilight knows the only way to win Sunset's love is to make herself stronger—even if that means resurrecting the demon inside of her.
