Mayor Mare and friends organise the event and, when the big night comes, are fully expecting something to go wrong.
Princess Celestia, meanwhile, comes to Ponyville for some mild respite and watches the play.
And a lonely traveller, finally having found his true place in the universe, returns to Equestria to help an expecting mother.
What happens will change their lives forever as on this night, just as it was many centuries ago, a very special foal will be born in Ponyville.
