I'm rather pleasantly surprised with the blue pony who became an archeologist - even though her name hasn't been stated at the time of pressing. (or am I not remembering it all that well?) Come to think of it, I myself am an archeologist - in this case, I collect old LPs, old VHS tapes, old DVDs, old TV broadcasts (from YouTube) and, heck, even old newspapers!
I don't know about everyone else but Gabby makes me tired and irritable every time she's on the screen. This isn't anything against the character at all. People like that just make me tired and irritable!
Something tells me that something as simple as facts won't slow her down though!
They kind of remind me of Scoots and Dash, oddly. Like, this is head canon territory, but maybe Gabby idolizes Pinkie for being the one to bring friendship to Griffonstone.
I think that they need to look at this from a different angle. What was the one thing that she was doing in all those cases? She was helping somepony! Her special talent is to be friendly and helpful!
That was a nice, cute little episode. Not too complex but it did address a question that many fans had about the magic of Harmony and whether other species on Equestria could access it. The answer is: Not in the same way but still yes.
Gabby was a bit irritating as a character but I think that this was the point. She's excitable, eager and maybe her heart goes a little in advance of her head (like the three Crusaders, when you think about it). However, she's a genuinely nice griffon. Just as the Crusaders realised, her purpose was to help others. She finds joy in helping others find joy. Like the girls said, maybe that makes her a Crusader too!
This was lovely, life-affirming tale of bridging gaps and defying what is supposed to be impossible. What's more, it's about reminds us that no-one is equal to anyone else. We all have different strengths, weaknesses and limits. However, it isn't those that define us, it is what we want to do with them.
So, overall, another good, workman-like episode. I admit to being biassed to Crusader episodes so I might be a bit too eager to mark this up. That said:
What kind of elementary school teaches pre calculus? Maybe other schools in different countries do (Like China), but I've never heard of an elementary school teaching math that advanced before.
4202890She Became A Cutie Mark Crusader, But they said come back soon which implies that she lives in GriffonStone still or her original place of origin
Going by the montage, it seems like Gabby's greatest talent is having opposable thumbs.
But seriously, this was a fantastic episode. Good motivations, good humor, and thank goodness they didn't give her an actual, physical cutie mark. My only real complaint is that Apple Bloom was really forcing those apple-favored countryisms.
A very enjoyable episode. I liked Gabby a lot, and found the several continuity nods to be nice. My only complaint is from the opening sequence. It's Paleontologist, not Archeologist!
Good lord, that was the most awkward forced song-transition I've ever seen. There was almost 30 seconds of silent bopping waiting for the lyrics to kick in. Whoever has been responsible for directing the second half of this season needs to go away before next season starts.
Thankfully, the writing here is a bit better than other episodes of this batch, and the episode was enjoyable enough as a result.
4202922 Ponyville may be like those school systems of the old west and frontier, in which it's a one room school house with no specific grades. I mean, just a few episodes okay they were learning about physics.
4202868 Well, supposedly, we were going to have an episode involving a trip to Manehattan to see Babs. I think they could've cut an episode somewhere and fit that in. But I think the blame lies with "Bloom and Gloom" for dropping the Babs bombshell and then not bothering to answer the questions it raised.
I found this episode to be quite enjoyable, and in my opinion was a nice step up from the previous ones we've been getting so far. I especially liked how upbeat and likable Gabby was, Seriously, she's a lot like Pinkie but with less fourth wall breaking and reality warping. She just likes to spread joy to others, and that is definitely a mindset that I can get behind. The one moment that really stood out to me, aside from how likable Gabby was, was Scootaloo's statement that she knows what it feels like to have something just out of reach, adding an extra layer of reason behind wanting to help Gabby find her purpose. Overall, I give a solid 8.5/10 for a good message, good characterization, and a welcome change of pace in comparison to previous episodes.
Hey! What wrong with being a pirate!?
*massive One Piece fan*
Hmm, based on the episode synopsis I'm reading, this is bound to be interesting.

All the goddamned streams are lagging, at least for me. I wonder why. . . .
Gabby just reminds me of a young Pinkie Pie turned into a griffon. Don't ask me how, she just does.
Who knows, maybe those two will get along?
Yes but us sing spell to lose a cutie marks and replacing do work. Logic
4202836 Oh, absolutely. The two of them together would be chaos.
I love everything about this griffon
Well, Twilight does have that species change spell.
And if that doesn't work, there's always tattoos and brands.
Or we can go dark and whip out the knives, scissors and thread.

Ah crap. More Scootaloo can't fly fic are going to spawn.
sigh.

Now THAT is fanfic fuel.
It really is frightening how good at stuff she is.
i love everything about Gabby

Rarity: That some fine Griffin ass

Nice little narrative song, BTW!
4202857 so she is the ultimate butler.
I'm mixed on Gabby. She's adorable, but she is also getting a little bit grating, too.
Although, I suppose it's not THAT different from Pinkie, either. I still like her.
And somewhere, Brynna Drummond feels left out and neglected, as does her character. I put this together in advance largely to get that character to DO something and NOT feel left out and neglected. Same reason I put these records out.
4202857
You're psychic!
Quick. Tell me my future.
And beat up those Poison types for me.
4202857 totally called it.
4202857
So, her talent is helping ponies be happy about the…
NO WAY THIS GRIFFON ISNT PINKIE'S LONG-LOST COUSIN!!!!
Wait. So does this mean Gabby lives in Ponyville now?
CMC eps always killin it.
4202873 Nope Come Back soon
First episode in a long time that wasn't overly childish or just some thin wrapping for an eye-rolling moral we've seen 100 times before. I approve.

It's nice that they got the lesson through without needing to give Gabby an actual mark. Makes it more poignant, I think.
Poor Twilight, though. Her chance at being the first to document such a monumental phenomenon, dashed...
4202876
What do you mean by that?
I like Gabby, she just wears me out from just watching her She and Pinkie would get along very well.
Edit: Oh crap, nopony told Twilight the truth about Gabby!!!!

It'd be a good way to determine an unexpected threat...

Did Hasbro have to title an episode after the novel "The Fault in Our Stars"?
4202857 Friendly and helpful? So she's basically aiming for taking Spike's job? Didn't he just sing about that three episodes ago? XD
4202967
Gabby as a character was basically Thorax 2.0, so it's appropriate, I guess.

It's quite a charming episode. I like how Ponyville takes the Cutie Mark Crusaders like it was another corporation.
Also the beginning is safe to say that Dinosaurs did exist in Equestria.
Finally watched a YouTube upload.
